Bannon out of the NSC.

Finally.

The reasonable move. No need for Bannon to be there.

Let McMaster take charge.

He was only there to watch Flynn. Now that he's gone his job is done.

Watch Flynn???

Doesn't make any sense. If so, good that the guy was gotten out... even if there wasn't the Russia link.

With North Korean missile tests, with having to decide what US should do with events in Syria, I think that Bannon understood that he being there is very bad for himself.

As I've said, the political advisor of the President works one way: through the President. Once he sits in the NSC, he is totally exposed and has to make recommendations and decisions that he has to bear, quite in the open.

Now McMasters won't likely get Ezra out of his staff, but the general is finally getting his team together. And what is noticeable that he isn't picking military people, as that isn't the area where he lacks knowledge.

National Security Council - DNI and CJCS in, Bannon out.

Changes:
  • Steve Bannon removed from the NSC
  • HSC advisor may now only convene a meeting "at the sole discresion of" the National Security Advisor, instead of "as appropriate".
  • DNI and CJCS are now "regular attendees" on the NSC PC, no longer "invitees"
Hopefully, the NSC will be able to function better as a result of these changes

Really though why the fuck you add Rick Perry? He never seemed to "light up the room".
