Read the article. It was an alternate. As for the Hood, no they don't need that monstrosity they have Window Surfaces respect the product placement socialist. He is not there to make the decision that is up to the Senior Ref in New York and in the last 2 minutes of each half he has almost complete control of the game, the alternates simply communicate their wishes. It is a stupid, bureaucratic, micromanaging bullshit it isn't a conspiracy it's socialism and you vote for it.GrumpyCatFace wrote:It was a dude in a black shirt with a headset. Not one of the game officials. Pretty obvious that the “official referees” don’t even matter anymore.clubgop wrote:So you trust Joe Buck unquestionably? No, I’m not bringing that up as an example of fixing. I’m aware of the rule.
I’m pointing out the fact that there are “alternate officials” which apparently can override the zebras on the field.
By giving "alternate official" some ominous scare quotes without further research is you saying it is fixed. Take some responsibility for your conspiracy nutbaggery and own it.
Watch a review sometime. There’s no hood anymore, the ref doesn’t ask for camera angles. He stands in front of a screen and waits for the decision.

All the people who defend Polanski got together to pretend they don't approve of their industry trading sex for fame after they've all cooperated with it and shielded it their entire careers.
So brave.

Remember Hollywood did this because we found out, not because they found out.

It's been this way for generations, and everyone accepts it as the price of doing business.
There were mentions of casting couches in Marilyn Monroe films half a century ago.

It's absolutely amazing how women are en masse bitching about sexual assault when they themselves think it's a joke when women rape or assault men.

Coming in 2019: Stories about single women who can't figure out why men won't ask them out on dates or even speak to them either at work or in bars.
Stories like the Aziz one are going to have men afraid to even look at a woman. We hear about the celebrity cases, but how much of this is now happening to regular people that no one other than friends and family know about? Do I now have to be afraid that some drunk girl I made out with 25 years ago in college is suddenly going to remember it as assault?
I feel bad for my son having to entering dating at a time like this.

Liked the piece until it predictably revealed the REAL root cause of the author’s outrage - privileged white college girls targeting “a brown”. Written, of course, by a white woman who likely has a degree of her own. The self-loathing virus continues its epidemic across the states.doc_loliday wrote:https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainme ... ri/550541/
