Re: Europe, the not boring thread
You know I actually saw my ex 18 year old girlfriend a couple years ago in a newspaper article.
Receiving an award for her volunteer work for juvenile diabetes.
She was 40 in the photo. Still looked great, still looked the same to me. Still fit, cute and hot.
We were just too much the same, she had a fiery temper, so do I, so we fought like cats and dogs.
Still, hot make up sex, every single time. I don't think it was true love, but man it was hot.
She's the one who snuck past the duty Sergeant when I was on confinement to barracks and came to my room
Wearing nothing but lingerie under a raincoat. One of the best things anyone has ever done for me.
Another time I was rear party while the battalion was in the field, so we we're hanging out in my room.
She was in the bathroom, which is in the hall, taking a shower, when all the troops suddenly arrived back.
She's trapped in there without her clothes while all the troops are coming up the stairs. lol.
I brought her a bathrobe, so she steps out, and all my buddies start whistling, she blushes bright red.
Good times. I wonder if she ever thinks about me now, I mean, I was her first boyfriend, first time.
She must be long married with kids by now, but I wonder if she ever thinks about those times back then.
It's not like we broke up on bad terms, it's not like I ever done her wrong.
When I saw the photo, I just thought how fast time flies, how old we got so fast, yet it seems like yesterday.
For a girl to die at 18 years old? When I think of my ex at that age, what a gorgeous perfect girl she was.
it's hard to fathom all that missed life, the loss of your prime, all that time, just gone. Never happened. It's eerie.

Good grief, apparently the people in the back of the truck died of asphyxiation.
A Vietnamese girl, beautiful girl in her prime, sent text messages to her mother saying she was suffocating.
Paid the smugglers $50,000 for the privilege.
Honestly, these smugglers should be executed by firing squad.
Yes, the immigrants are naive and foolish to attempt this, none the less, the smugglers need to be deterred.

The more we learn, the more it turns out to be like the second season of The Wire.

You're never going to completely stamp it out, but these smugglers are so lackadaisical with human life.
It should be treated like terrorism, capital crime.
If you're going to do it, so be it, but know that you're going to be treated like a terrorist.

Human Traffickers should die in a grease fire. A firing squad would be too kind, as would throwing them out of helicopters, as would hanging them from the yardarm.

Well if you look at this driver, and other three people who have now been arrested, these are not hardened criminals, these are just punters who thought they'd make a quick buck.StCapps wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:40 pmHuman Traffickers should die in a grease fire. You can at least deter those sorts of people getting involved by making it clear that this is big time, you're crossing over into capital crime. There will be hardened criminals who will no doubt still take that risk, but you can at least cut back on the masses getting involved.
It's not selling pot, it's not a speeding ticket, you will be executed for this crime, so think twice.

I'm just intelligent enough to have enough introspection to learn my mistakes. And by learning my mistakes I mean a lifetime of regret and depression. You think I'm proud? I don't cast stones from a glass house I don't fucking have a house. I want shit like this to stop. I can sit here and preach all day, won't change a thing.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 8:57 pmNot sure that you are in any position to judge anyone else on their drug abuse.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 3:11 pmThere's lots of blame to go around when 16 yo females are boozing and giving it up on the first date. As for putting out on the first date, so what?
You wouldn't criticise a bloke for doing the same.
At 18 she was old enough to make up her own mind.
Here's your women's lib everyone.

You had the chance to get older and wiser. This young girl never did. Looks like stone throwing to me.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:57 pmI'm just intelligent enough to have enough introspection to learn my mistakes. For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Well, you play the cards you're dealt. You can either blub about the shitty hand you got or you can work with it and make yourself a winner.
It's your hand at the end of the day and it's up to you. No point in blaming the dealer.
