Re: Social Justice Warriors Thread
They should make a gay Super hero called the Gaped Crusader. His asshole would be one of his main tools. Not only would it be highly flexible and able to stretch to enormous dimensions, but his prolapsed rectum would also be used as a lasso to catch escaping criminals. In fact, the prolapse would allow him to travel across the city quickly by attaching to lamposts and tall buildings (think spiderman). His semen would be a superpotent mix of AIDS and Hep C which could instantly burst through even the toughest condoms (not that he ever wears them).
I'm still working on the GC's origin story, but I'm thinking that he started out as a Berkeley student majoring in queer studies. He was a brilliant researcher, but his experiments were often dangerous. One day, he fell into a gaydioactive craiglist ad and was bitten by a genderfluid superbug. At first, he used his powers for petty sexual conquests and revenge, spreading sexually transmitted diseases to people who bullied him in high school, but his life soon took a dark turn. His arch enemy, the Bigoted Breeder a cruel North Carolina bakery owner, refused to cater the GC's same sex wedding. This traumatized the Crusader's partner so much that he committed suicide. As a result, the Crusader decided to use his powers for good. He will not rest until constitutionally protected speech is stamped out and all conservative business owners have HIV positive blood coursing through their veins. As the city sleeps, he keeps watch, making sure that the unmonitored children on chatroulette are exposed to alternative lifestyles, and that every boys locker room has a webcam inside it. Every day his tumblr page fills with distress calls of people who need his help.
The Gaped Crusader's only weakness is being coughed on, as his immune system is so compromised that even the common cold can be fatal. The Crusader is racing against the clock to stop the forces of intolerance, each passing moment losing another T-cell. Shit, I think Marvel could only do a couple issues of this, because the guy would pretty much just be laying in a hospital bed with tubes in his arm, the nurses attending him wearing two pairs of gloves.

I was listening to NPR today, and there was a long segment were they were talking to some correspondent from Buzz Feed about the goings on in Syria. NPR gets its news from Buzz Feed? Is this a new development?

I just listened to both of these.
A little surprising. This Feminist Filmaker went into this project expecting to show how negative the Men's Rights Movement. She left as a supporter of Mens Rights and an opponent of Radical Feminism. She said the Men have all the numbers behind them to support their case.

Duh. That's why feminists do everything possible to shut down facts and flood the discourse with their fake data.
I think the MRM takes it too far and sort of acts like a men's version of feminism, though. But the idea that women are disadvantaged in our society to the benefit of men is laughably wrong. Feminism usually gets things exactly backwards.
Still, the kind of movement I would like to see fostered is one not geared for one gender in particular, but a movement based on some form of genetic realism in regards to human behavior and biology, based on evolutionary psychology and natural human behavior, that seeks a just society in which the detrimental and positive behaviors of both sexes are recognized. But right now, if you as so much mention even a snippet of the negative female behavioral traits, like hypergamy for example, the feminists go absolutely bonkers and accuse you of hating women. Never mind that all we see from feminists is nonstop hatred of men. Actual hatred.
I fear that these men's movements are just going to mirror the animosity you see in feminism. It's going to get ugly.
The best way I can characterize how I feel to the average feminist is this: take all the shittiness and evil you now attribute to something like MRAs and imagine them having near total control of the media, the legislatures, and even the courts. That's what men face today but the other way around, and the MRAs themselves are nothing like the feminists in terms of hate. Not even remotely close.

The MRM needs to fight for fair treatment without turning into a bunch of whining pussies.
The path to victory is the numbers. Frankly men need a court case that shows the system if biased against men as fathers, against men in expected contributions to relationships and marriage and a system that always views men as the aggressor first. A system that considers a man guilty until proven innocent.

Re: Social Justice Warriors Thread
https://jonathanturley.org/2017/04/11/f ... inclusive/{Harvard} is dropping the last line of its 181-year-old “Fair Harvard” hymn as “insufficiently inclusive.” The line refers to “Till the stock of the Puritans die” and some feel the reference is problematic because it refers to white ancestors. ... The change at Harvard is the result of the work of the Presidential Task Force for Inclusion and Belonging created by University President Drew G. Faust. Frankly, it is a Faustian bargain for Harvard in further stripping away historical elements to satisfy contemporary attitudes.
...
There should be nothing wrong with a song that reflects the long and proud history of Harvard. The faculty and students are now thankfully more diverse and that is something to celebrate. However, you can celebrate your diversity while maintaining your history. ...
Yet, Danielle S. Allen, a professor in the department of government insists that the last line makes the pursuit of truth only a matter for one group. That is, in my view, ridiculous. I doubt seriously that anyone at Harvard identifies today as a “Puritan.” It is an archaic reference that captures the period of the writing of the song. ...
The school released a statement that “The Task Force on Inclusion and Belonging launched this competition to affirm that Harvard’s motto, Veritas, speaks to and on behalf of all members of our community, regardless of background, identity, religious affiliation, or viewpoint.” However, Veritas means truth and the best path to truth is not the denial but recognition of the institution’s history. The song captures the historical roots of Harvard while the faculty and students reflect its future.
So, at what point do we just concede defeat on the tidal wave of stupid?

2050. When the stock of the Puritans is overwhelmed to the point of no return.
