Not sure I'd call shameless self-promoters part of a "sleeper cell" - because sleeper cells sleep until activated. They don't boast on their Twitter feeds, then double down when attention is called to them.

There are like four or five others tied to his social media account that are also commies in the military. I don't find it surprising really that there may be sleeper cells of all sorts in the military. As evidenced by some of his reddit posts he clearly viewed himself as a subversive even though he was too open with his social media to be too effective. But anyway, that's what happens when you're the biggest dog on the block. Everyone wants a piece of you. Neo-Nazis, commies and everything inbetween have been embedding themselves deliberately in the US military for a while now. I think this guy was just too impressionable and idealistic. Also, in this case, does anyone view a dishonorable discharge as being too heavy handed? I'm on the fence about it kind of tbh. I think he needs to be discharged but I feel like having a permanent black mark on his record like that may be a bit harsh. That's the thing, kneeling isn't disrespectful. In fact it is a way of showing your respect.

Kneeling/sitting is the opposite of that. Of course, sitting or lying down wouldn't have the same 'intentional' look about it, so kneeling is most effective.
