Realistically, there is a small chance that the 2024 election will not happen.

The Democrats have gone whacko before, and the always pivoted back to the center eventually. Clinton and Obama are examples. Sometimes they spend a lot of time out in the wilderness, sometimes they pull it together after an election or two, but just because it hasn't happened yet since Trump came along, doesn't mean it's never going to happen.
Clinton was a Republican compared to Obama, and Obama is an outright socialist. ObamaCare, Cash for Clunkers, bailing out banks, spending money like it wasn't his... trillions.... we are where we are with Trump because of 8 years of near-failed politics and practices of Obama.
Obama was a pivot to center away from Kerry and Gore who had gone too far out into left field. Outright socialist is bullshit, he was barely to the left of Hillary Clinton in 2008, a corporatist Democrat if ever there was one.
You do realize that saying Obama was center of Kerry and Gore, that is not a good endorsement... I mean hell Clinton was right of Pol Pot, but we have people who would vote for him in the DNC if they had a chance.

Obama was closer to center than McCain or Romney. Clinton was closer to the center than HW and Dole. Sometimes the Republicans lose the plot too and go too far to the right, when they do and there's a Democrat to exploit it, that's when the Democrats win the presidential election. This is not the first time the Dems moved too far to the left and had to pivot back to center to win, and it won't be the last either.

The Republicans lost five elections in a row after Hoover, it didn't destroy the party, but sometimes it takes an Eisenhower to come along and get you out of your rut, doesn't mean the party will never win again. The Democrats lost six elections in a row after Buchanan, didn't mean the end of the Democrats either, sometimes it takes a Grover Cleveland to come along and get you out of your rut. Sometimes party's get stuck in a rut for a while, but most of the time they pull out of it after an election, or two, or three.

Writing an entire party off after losing one or two presidential elections in a row is folly. That's what the Democrats did to the Republicans in 2016, thinking the Obama coalition would last forever and be the new normal, so there was no need to stay near the center, and look where that got them?

Obama lost the DNC powerbase when too many of his lies came home to roost...

According the media and the DNC, they never abandoned Obama, to the point where they carried his water that hard.

Nonsense. Tulsi never had a shot now, her window of opportunity is in the future. The Russian bullshit will be irrelevant in the post-Trump era. AOC winning the nomination would ensure the Democrats lose in 2024 as well, the Republicans could run a glass of water and still win that one.
Tulsi would be out of politics, she would be irrelevant. Not AOC winning the nom. she would have to just run to suck up all that oxygen. I don't know who could possibly be the nominee in '24. Who gives the best speech at the 2020 convention? That worked for Obama.
She'll run for Senate or some shit.
That would be 2022 at the earliest. That would be a tight schedule and everyone would see what she was doing. She would have to unseat a popular Democrat incumbent. If you think her winning now is a tough job, just imagine that one.

It's easier to win a Senate seat in Hawaii than win the 2020 Democrat nomination, by many orders of magnitude, that's why so many Senators are running for the nomination in the first place. Obama was a short lived Senator before running for POTUS, worked for him, everyone knew what he was doing to, didn't stop him.
