Professionals get paid a shit ton more money and this is the exchange. It's not actually a bad deal. People on time cards have a shit deal in my opinion.

Is it too many hours for one employee, or simply too many hours for YOU? Because the market will decide. If there are employees out there willing to work those hours then you’re wrong. It’s not too many for one employee.Montegriffo wrote:

If there are too many hours for one employee my tight arsed boss can employ enough people to do the job. 70 hours a week is not reasonable, the employment contract states 37.5.

... in which case you simply want the government to force the employer to keep you, the less efficient employee, and fuck that guy who is willing and able to actually meet the demands of the job. No room for meritocracy if Monte’s job is on the line, right?
Real worker-friendly of you. When you’re the worker who is locking out superior competition I guess.

See Monte - she's drank the 0.1% kool-aid.....only hope is to re-educate her after the socialist revolution.Kath wrote:I have the privilege to be working for a world-class global organization where my skills and dedication are rewarded handsomely. Of course 70 hours is too much for one guy to HAVE to do. That's 730am - 830 pm 7 days a week and no one should be able to sack me for not wanting to do that.
I've been doing it for weeks and they are really grateful. I don't even work directly for this place. I work for an agency but the conference centre want to give me a full time job because my food is the best they've ever had.

I’m talking simple supply and demand, so perhaps you don’t know what I’m talking about, but I’m relatively sure everyone else does.Montegriffo wrote: You don't know what you are talking about.

By the way, how many hours a week do you think the CEO of a multinational firm works?
Obviously it can’t be 70, since you’ve already branded that to be beyond human capability.

Again, no one is stopping you from working whatever hours you want.

Nobody should be forced to though.
There's a difference between employing and exploiting.

Wrong. You’re stopping them. You’re leveraging government to lock out any workers that are willing to do more hours than yourself by making arbitrary laws to disenfranchise them.Montegriffo wrote: Anyone can choose to spend their whole life sucking mammons cock if they want, Nobody is stopping them.
Again, no one forces you to find, accept, or maintain a job. This feeble defense continues to ring hollow.Nobody should be forced to though.
