Re: Russian trolls
Wimpy response from May, as expected, expelling 23 diplomat-spies and refuse to send formal delegation to World Cup, pfft, and of course "expand UK governments anti-terror powers" which the UK government never misses an opportunity to do, but a big meh in the end. Still only Stage 2 (Retortions)
Seems like a weak and desperate May is just glomming on to Russia!Russia!!Russia!!! Democrat party style.

Re: Russian trolls
UK pro forma fapping at the Security Council, France and USA pro forma promising support, but doing nothing, Russian's trolling the UK over Twitter;
"temperature of Russia-UK relations drops to -23, but we are not afraid of cold weather."

Re: Russian trolls
Seems like finally people here are talking about the issue in a correct context.
Not in denial threads like "Russian hack conspiracy unravelling" questioning if Russia did anything at all.
And of course, as Kybkh and others have stated, sowing discord in the present political environment is quite easy in the US. Not something the Russians started.
Read finally "Fire and Fury", which basically seems to have been a long interview Stephen Bannon, who didn't mind leaking to the book author too.
The funny thing is that if it wouldn't have been for the utter stupidity of "Jarvanka", the FBI investigation would really have ended just like the House inquiry on the Russian involvement (with simple yes, they did interfere. Period) without nothing else and Comey happily minding his business. But thanks to Trump and Jarvanka, we now have the Mueller probe.

As I said, wouldn't be a huge thing.Smitty-48 wrote:Wimpy response from May, as expected, expelling 23 diplomat-spies and refuse to send formal delegation to World Cup, pfft, and of course "expand UK governments anti-terror powers" which the UK government never misses an opportunity to do, but a big meh in the end. Inciting an escalation with the UK would actually be a perfect lever for the Kremlin, isolate the British from the Continent, while exposing America's chief proxy in NATO as being totally impotent.

Re: Russian trolls
Well, as I said, I have my doubts as to the use of N series nerve agent, due to the apparent lack of lethality, and the fact that I do not trust anything the current UK government says, none the less, if Novichok, they certainly are playing with fire, if any quantity of that ever became aerosolized for any reason, even simply by accident while handling, that would be the Article V zone for sure.ssu wrote:As I said, wouldn't be a huge thing.

In your view what should be done? Exactly.Smitty-48 wrote:Wimpy response from May, as expected, expelling 23 diplomat-spies and refuse to send formal delegation to World Cup, pfft, and of course "expand UK governments anti-terror powers" which the UK government never misses an opportunity to do, but a big meh in the end. Well, Russia has been very much in favour of isolating the UK from the Continent.Smitty-48 wrote:Inciting an escalation with the UK would actually be a perfect lever for the Kremlin, isolate the British from the Continent, while exposing America's chief proxy in NATO as being totally impotent.
Russia was first for the Scottish Indepence and then for Brexit. And similar trolls were used just like in the US. The more broken the West is the better for Russia. Ultimately it hopes that it could talk to countries on a one-on-one basis and not having to face multinational organizations like the EU or NATO.

Re: Russian trolls
Chapman is actually the perfect demonstration target, she's young, she's beautiful, she's cocky about being beyond sanctioning, and she's the darling of the Putin media, high profile; hit her and use something nasty, not nerve agent, but inject her with a nasty poison which incites prolonged and painful death with disfigurement.
Eye for an eye; fuck with us and we'll fuck with you, don't delude yourselves into thinking that the FSB can protect any of you, if you want a nasty shadow war, you shall have one.

Re: Russian trolls
I thought about the exact same response if they prove Moscow did this.
Use a gun, though.
