They should have stuff like this in the Olympics
An nescis, mi fili, quantilla prudentia mundus regatur? - Axel Oxenstierna
Nie lügen die Menschen so viel wie nach einer Jagd, während eines Krieges oder vor Wahlen. - Otto von Bismarck

Dammit,
https://www.inthesnow.com/team-gb-snowb ... ng-injury/Britain’s World Cup winning snowboard athlete Katie Ormerod has been ruled out of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games following a severe fracture to her right heel bone.
The 20-year-old from Brighouse was due to compete in snowboard slopestyle and snowboard big air but will now undergo emergency surgery in the morning.
Mike Hay, Team GB Chef de Mission said: “We are deeply sorry for Katie and her fellow snowboarders who have lost a valued member of their close-knit team. She is a world class competitor across both disciplines and we are desperately disappointed for her. From everyone at Team GB we wish her all the best for her recovery.”
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

It's inevitable, really - we each have only so many hours we can devote to watching, and ours here is going to be limited to prime time and a bit on the weekends - we'll never catch it all.C-Mag wrote:Kath wrote:Fuck - spoilers? I do hate it when the fuckers on the radio start announcing winners in the biggies, though, before it even airs on television. So I'll know who won all the various skating events before they happen. Just like swimming in the summer - fuckers. Maybe I wanted to see Phelps win without knowing ahead of time that he was the winner.

If only the NHL players were there, than the Winter Olympics might actually be worth watching. IOC gotta be fags though.

Isn't the proper term now "Olympic Athletes from Russia" and not Russia?Kath wrote:Fuck - spoilers? I can't listen to the radio for the next two weeks, either.C-Mag wrote:USA wins first competition of the games, defeating Russia in Curling.

I thought Russia was banned, could have sworn they did that. Did the IOC bitch out or something and I missed it?
