Re: War With Communists
It also relates to how I once observed the hard democrats in the military, when they spoke of a man dying for his country, it always came across as them actually meaning he dies for his government. When democrats speak of our country, they are talking about the federal government in most contexts.
But when most people on the right speak of the country, they are NOT talking about the federal government. To them, the federal government is a replaceable fixture of our country a best, and a parasitic mistake at worst. When they speak of a man dying for our country, they mean the American people as a polity and shared tradition.
Yet when you try to bring in national socialists, as if they are truly right wing, it doesn't make sense any longer. They may hate our current federal government, but only because they see it as flawed. They want to replace it with something even more powerful that represents only their race. They are not really different from La Raza in that respect. National socialism strikes me as more leftist than anything else for this reason, among others. Just because they oppose moral degeneracy doesn't really constitute a match.
I think to really understand what the "right" is, inasmuch as it is a thing, is to understand the concept of a nation of people (a true nation of homogeneous people in the historical sense) and the state as a separate concept. You also have to understand the traditional foundation upon which the nation was founded and why the principles that make up that foundation matter. The left opposes those things. All of them.
And this is why I don't think the libertarians are right wing either. They are just a shade off from a typical leftist. All the economic stuff is a red herring.

The left and right in a constitutional democratic representative republic, are all broadly on the left, so to move from a representative republic to a nationalist republic would be moving sharply to the right, so obviously the left would not be in favour of that, otherwise they wouldn't be on the left of a representative republic in the first place.
To wit, yes, the left is not on the right, who knew?

Yeah I would agree that NatSoc isn't right wing really but I don't think free markets, for example, are very right wing either. I feel like that is more of a classical liberal thing. Not a sentiment I find appealing but one I don't eschew as oppositional either. Quite the contrary. If I was a NatSoc (I'm not,) classical liberals are still very close allies for advancing my cause simply on dint of fact they don't shut down my avenues of warfare which are non violent agitation and propaganda. I view libertarians in the same light along with paleo cons. I'm not really fascistic per se but maybe I am. I want to see serious change happen and wouldn't be opposed to any right wing populist movement.

Classical liberalism is also broadly on the left, and in fact the progenitor of democratic representative republics, and constitutional monarchy to the right of that.

That's not really what it means, though. The American Revolution, for example, was essentially a revolution from the Right. The French Revolution on the other hand; that was a revolution from the Left.
The particular form of government, in the context of the Right, is not as important as many people believe. The thing about the Left is that fundamentally, to varying degrees at the individual level, their problem is with civilization itself. The Left can be described as a rebellion against civilization itself. The Left rebels against the moral foundation of civilization. It rebels against the social structures that form the civilization. They rebel against the government of the civilization. The Left are just a kind of social cancer.
But here the thing: when they manage to overthrow the existing order, the only thing that has happened in the past several centuries is that a new kind of totalitarian regime takes over. The best they have managed to do is regress their nations a few steps back to the strongman form of government set in the modern age. Those regimes then promptly set out to exterminate the very worst of the leftists because they are inherently a risk to the regime. Every time. This happens every time. The Soviet government slaughtered their version of SJWs without hesitation. So did Mao.
From my perspective, everything on the left is just suicidal nonsense. It's not a legitimate ideology.
The only things that matter is how we categorize everything that ends up on the "Right". There are lots of differences there, but they aren't trying to destroy everything, even biological realities like your gender.

Well one of the things I have a problem with the so called right wingers of today is their demonization of all things "collectivist." I understand this to come from the Cold War way of thinking but that isn't a very good thing. Putting the atomization of the individual as the highest form of existence is insane. Really conservatives should be far more family and communal values oriented but because of this perfidious influence of individualism from the left from thinkers like Ann Rand, chopping your dick off and becoming a woman is now the highest form of human liberty.

No, the American Revolution was from the left, the French Revolution simply went much further to the left.
The French Republic > The American Republic > The British Constitutional Monarchy > The French Absolute Monarchy.

Google "nazi germany pre war economy". Some interesting reads.Nukedog wrote:Just wondering about some of the intricacies of how the NDSAP would have operated under best circumstances. We have the autobahn, near 0% unemployment, interest free house loans where having children would knock large portions off until payed for by having kids. See, I think NatSoc gets a bad rap because I look at Weimar Germany and some of the things accomplished by the NDSAP and I can't help but feel a little point of pride that a movement dedicated to its people was able to accomplish so much.
Some believe that the economy was destined for collapse, including Hjalmar Schact.
Too much nuance to really address in a post here, but it's an interesting read (I suggest you read both sides of the argument).
I wondered myself if their economic policies worked. I don't believe they did after what I've read. But arguments can be made both ways.
