The airlines know exactly what they can and cannot do, and throwing this guy off the plane for staging a "sit in", that's an easy one, sayonara.
Yeah, that is basically airline policy. They can deny you even after you have booked and paid for your ticket. Although, legally they do have to compensate the passenger they bump.
