They're takin down Tor sites supposedly. I believe it's been hacked. Even if that's not the case, they have access to your firmware at the factory anyway. Suck it indeed.Zlaxer wrote:TOR......or don't use the internet.....also, states will use the data to collect excise tax evaders......
Now if they make Tor illegal, that's going too far imho.....come to think of it, I bet that bill has already been written.....suck it you stupid proles

Use open source Linux, and try to find a trustworthy hardware manufacturer.....the government owns the bugged chips, they're not about to put those kinds of keys up for sale just yet.

Well then there's no point to anything else. Once the spies are inside, it doesn't matter what OS or encryption is used.Zlaxer wrote:http://Www.duckduckgo.com

Pretty sure the NSA and XKeyscore were targeting/profiling/documenting/whatever TOR users anyway, also users that visited Wikileaks if I remember
Anyone here know anything about VPNs?

Most vpns rely on SSL or ipsec, which I'm sure the NSA has cracked, seing as how they get to select government encryption standards, which is what most commercial providers follow....

Good enough to keep your browsing history from your ISP I heard. Most people that get notes in the mail over torrenting too much either ignore them or get a VPN.pineapplemike wrote:Pretty sure the NSA and XKeyscore were targeting/profiling/documenting/whatever TOR users anyway, also users that visited Wikileaks if I remember

VPNs are used legitimately by thousands and thousands of people everyday. If you use TOR through a VPN, it's just going to look like you're using a VPN and not on the TOR network.
Does it matter if the NSA knows you're on the TOR network? I guess as long as you're not doing anything illegal... But TOR is not a solution. It's incredibly slow and through a VPN, it's even slower. And after all of that, you're placing your trust in the VPN.
Letting your ISP sell your data is ridiculous. Guys, can there be no privacy left? Some people are arguing we should be spied upon in the of corporate freedom, it's insane.
