Wow that is a thin argument.StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 12:41 pmPoliticians breaking campaign promises is not proof that those who voted for them don't approve of their politics. If you can't say why, clear case of cognitive dissonance.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 4:10 pmWow that is a thin argument.StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 12:41 pmPoliticians breaking campaign promises is not proof that those who voted for them don't approve of their politics. I don’t really need to point out the contradiction in that, do I?StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 4:35 pmIf you can't say why, clear case of cognitive dissonance.
People voted for X and got Y, therefore they support Y...

You voted for X and got Y, they voted for Y and got Y, but didn't get everything they want. You are projecting your views on the American electorate, when you are a political misfit, this is why your analysis sucks.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 4:43 pmI don’t really need to point out the contradiction in that, do I?

Yeah, again. “Representative” does the exact opposite of everything they campaigned on, and every body knew what they’d really do.StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 5:07 pmYou voted for X and got Y, they voted for Y and got Y, but didn't get everything they want. Politicians say lots of different things, just because they don't deliver on the promises you remember the most doesn't mean that they don't keep any promises. If they don't keep any promises they get replaced in short order, they have to keep at least a few important ones, or they lose.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 6:21 pmYeah, again. “Representative” does the exact opposite of everything they campaigned on, and every body knew what they’d really do.

How’s that wall coming? Deportations? Paving the Middle East? Are we Great Again? I mean, he did pass some incredible tax breaks for the corporate masters, and get some really classy real estate deals.StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 6:28 pmPoliticians say lots of different things, just because they don't deliver on the promises you remember the most doesn't mean that they don't keep any promises. How about the last pres? Did we close Gitmo yet? End the Infinity War?
Clearly, “the people” just wanted the opposite of all that. They knew oh they knew.
How about the last president?

The American Electorate did not like Trump or Obama for the reasons you think they did, you are projecting what you think their most important promises were on what the electorate thinks their most important promises were.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 6:45 pmHow’s that wall coming? I never said you were properly represented, I said the American electorate was properly represented, you are a misfit whose views don't line up with the vast majority of the American electorate, yet you seem to assume they think exactly like you do, very strange.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 6:48 pmSo now it’s ‘they were elected on feelz, therefore you are represented, pleb”StCapps wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 6:47 pmThe American Electorate did not like Trump or Obama for the reasons you think they did, you are projecting what you think their most important promises were on what the electorate thinks their most important promises were.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 6:45 pm
