If anyone needs to have Nationalism vs. Globalism, or Jeffersonian liberty vs. Marxist liberty explained, I'm right here, ask away?
Propose a means to handle global problems, without a global authority. Or enjoy your empty oceans, and devastated air quality.

I’m actually not a globalist, but it’s hard to argue against the need for something to manage all the squabbling tribes on a doomed rock.

As has been proven time and time again, there is NO person or group that can outperform Emergent Order in a complex system; handle problems on an ad hoc basis and solutions magically appear. I, for one, will accept no one's expert advice, and as proof, I offer that no one accepts mine.

Is "nuance," doublespeak for doublespeak or, is it doublespeak for newspeak, or newspeak for doublespeak?

Man, what does that feel like? Not being able to be honest about anything?

Probably a lot like that feeling you get every morning, when you wake up and start hating yourself.

What about the countries those workers are coming from? Don’t they need nurses? Fuck them, Britain first?
British trained doctors and nurses leave the UK to work abroad in large numbers. Are you suggesting they should not be allowed to do so?
I thought you were a liberty guy.
If British healthcare workers are free to travel abroad for improved pay or working conditions why shouldn't a Spanish or Italian doctor be free to do the same?
We are not talking about illegal fruit pickers here, we are talking skilled, qualified workers filling vacancies in an understaffed NHS.
My suggestion would be that you pay your doctor's a reasonable amount and stop trying to undercut what you are paying them by bringing in cheaper doctors from India, Argentina, Italy, Wikanda, or wherever.

US workers cleaned toilets, picked fruit, and did a whole host of other menial labor jobs 60 years ago. They stopped wanting to do those jobs when they stopped paying a decent wage because they could hire some illegals from South of the border... Illegals that the government provides welfare, food stamps, etc, for now. The same upper middle class liberals that are bitching about a "living wage" over Amazon, McDs, and a host of other places... You don't heard a peep out of them about the wages of the illegal crop pickers we import into the country. Apparently the govt is "supporting Wal-Mart" because laid off professionals or younger people unable to find real work with their "women's studies" degree that get jobs at Wally World aren't getting a "living wage" and have to get food stamps, etc, but the same happening over low wage illegal farm pickers? Crickets. Why do you think that is?

So you admit the dishonesty and compare it to clinical depression. Your aversion to the truth is pathological. Good, we are getting somewhere. Please get help, send Dr. Youth a PM.

You think doctors from India get paid less than British doctors?
My suggestion is that you do a little research before you spout out a load of old tosh and make a fool of yourself.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Fictional history is not a strong argument on this forum.
