He's against the status quo, the hoary and corrupted olden ways. Seems prudent.

I just realized that if California holds a secession referendum, we could all take a road trip to help vote to free ourselves of that cancer since they don't have any voter identification laws of any kind. If illegal immigrants can vote in California, so can you.

Y E S S S ! ! ! !
McMaster.
Wow. If you would want to pick a general, McMaster would be the guy.
First of all, I loved his book. I loved it that USMC put the Marine Officers to read McMasters book BEFORE the stupid Iraq war.
Then not only McMaster was good in writing history, he was a goddam good general to fight an insurgency.
Top notch pick from Trump.
With this national security, I feel safe. And thank you for it not being the Bolton idiot.

I vote we stay in Reno and give them our big tourist bucks. We can Uber over to some craphole around Tahoe long enough to vote illegally and then rush back to the honeys on the good side of the border.Speaker to Animals wrote:I just realized that if California holds a secession referendum, we could all take a road trip to help vote to free ourselves of that cancer since they don't have any voter identification laws of any kind. Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
Now you have people who not only know military history and are educated, but also have been fighting a war. Good start.
Have to say that after Flynn the NSC and the whole security intelligence apparatus is likely quite a mess and demoralized now, yet with this guy I think that isn't going to be a problem. If McMaster basically on his own started to fight successfully an insurgency starting from a FUBAR position at start, he can get things working. And McMaster is a guy who as a younger officer has spent researching how Washington worked, hence the reality likely isn't a totally new thing to him. Pence & Mattis team seem to be working just fine, when they were sent to Europe. I don't think with those guys have any difficulty with McMaster and vice verso. McMaster's biggest task will simply be: how to handle and get Trump to be on focus, when the NSC is seriously needed. Trump surely isn't the most easiest bosses around.
I assume that McMaster is a quick learner.
Noticed one tweet about Trump's pick:

Going from Flynn to McMaster is like going from Phill Kessel to Auston Matthews;

Toujours Pret
During the Gulf War in 1991 he was a captain commanding Eagle Troop of the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment at the Battle of 73 Easting.[3] During that battle, though significantly outnumbered and encountering the enemy by surprise as McMaster's lead tank crested a dip in the terrain, the nine tanks of Eagle Troop destroyed over eighty Iraqi Republican Guard tanks and other vehicles without loss

Just when we thought Trump was cucking out, he simply wanted an upgrade that would also sooth the GOP Establishment. Well played Trump, well played.Smitty-48 wrote:Going from Flynn to McMaster is like going from Phill Kessel to Auston Matthews;
