I read a piece this morning that makes me like to imagine that I was IRL the unnamed antagonist.

I mean, come on, who else would you think of as the bad actor in question when a story starts out with "It was July 2014, Nashville Tennessee. I was walking into a gas station for a bottle of water when the man behind me stepped up to open the door for me."

True dat. Ladies, if I open a door for you, it's not because I want to get into your shorts. Yet.

This happened to me. I held a door open for a fellow female student first week of law school, and she refused to go through.

Once I let the door go, she walked through. She had books in her hands, and she struggled to carry it all and force the door open smoothly.

At the time, I didn't understand the ideology behind it.

The situation is getting out of hand, honestly. Because most of the pretty women expect to be served all the time, my gut instinct is to want to avoid holding the door open for them by default. But then so many of the average-looking women have become feminists since feminism is in part affirmative action for average and less desirable women. At this point, if she is dressed like a GRIT, she gets the door opened. Other than that, I am not so sure.

That said, I have witnessed a noticeable up-tick in women opening doors for men too. So maybe it will just work itself out.

Michael Savage left bloodied, shaken in public assault

On the day he launched his new book about the fierce, sometimes violent, opposition to Donald Trump, radio talk-show host Michael Savage was assaulted by a stranger at a San Francisco Bay Area restaurant.

Savage, with his dog, Teddy, was finishing up dinner Tuesday night at Servino Restaurant in Tiburon, California, north of San Francisco, when the unnamed assailant charged up to Savage and began yelling . . . .

The attacker kicked the poodle out of the way, grabbed Savage and threw him to the ground, according to an eyewitness.

Savage was not seriously hurt, but the incident left him bloodied and shaken . . . .

Savage’s attorney, Dan Horowitz, told the blogger he will seek criminal charges.

In a statement to Lieberman, Savage said he was leaving the restaurant “when a total stranger followed me out of the restaurant and confronted me.”

The man said, “Are you Michael Weeeeener?” mocking the radio host’s legal name, Weiner.

Savage said: “I turned to him and said, ‘Go away, I don’t know who you are.’ I turned to leave and he pushed me and I fell down. He moved toward me to push me down and he shoved my 10-pound poodle out of the way to get to me.

Might not be leftist. I doubt many of them would recognize the guy at a restaurant. Maybe Antifa, but he's not popular on the far right either. Somebody using his Jewish name instead of his stage name makes the assailant's fealty a bit dubious.

Sorry to hear that about Savage. I personally find him annoying but he's a good man undoubtedly.

but he's not popular on the far right either.

Neither was Milo or Shapiro who is currently enjoying a crowd of over a thousand protesters at a uni in SoCal. Asking leftists, let alone Antifa to make sense is a tall order.
