Yet it was typical before that the US responded on these issues at least.

Well, first of all, INF 87' is kind of obsolete, it doesn't really have much operational relevance to the current disposition of forces in Europe, but yes, the Russians are deliberately thumbing their noses at INF 87', in retaliation for the Bushies pulling out of ABM 72', and then the US deploying BMD in Europe, which is deployed by the Aegis BMD squadron in Rota Spain, the Aegis Ashore BMD system in Deveselu Romania, and there will be one in Poland in 2020, but this is all Obama deployments, not Trump.

Breaking Arms deals with the US is not unique to Russia. We could go to war with Iran right now for their violations. We used this Sadaams violation of disarmament under UN resolution 1441 to go into Iraq in 2003.

See, the thing is, if the US is going to deploy destabilizing systems like Ballistic Missile Defense and Prompt Global Strike, what have you, all those stabilizing treaties which deescalated the Cold War will be going away, as the Russians are forced back into an arms race to try to offset the American escalation against the status quo, and they will also do things like take Crimea and attack Ukraine, because they assert that the threat in the Black Sea is also related to a US BMD first strike enabler escalation, which, kind of makes their point for them, when the US does actually deploy BMD into Romania.

Just to give you some perspective, deploying that BMD system into the Black Sea, during the Cold War, woud have brought us to the brink of World War Three on the spot, which, is kind of why we had the ABM treaty back in the Cold War.
