It’s a great plot, but if Amazon, Zillow, or Starbucks is going to pay to GTFO of Seattle then they’ll probably head somewhere a lot more friendly than WA state. Maybe they’ll go to South Carolina, like Boeing did after weathering too many Union strikes and ridiculous demands.

The problem is the workforce. The tech industry tends to crowd together in certain places. The more tech companies in a region, the better for all of them, since it means the universities all cater to the tech companies and lots of highly-skilled professionals tend to congregate in the area.

South Carolina doesn't have anything like that. North Carolina has Research Triangle, but that's a different kind of thing (actual research and MUCH more educated people congregate there).

Wherever they move it will just start over again. They are probably better off trying to work with what they have. At most, I can see them moving over the borders to places like Idaho, Nevada, or Arizona to get away from the Marxism.
