Why bring up his wife, except to stabilize the gender identity he once took for granted and thought was his? Having a wife – being a straight white man with a wife and six children – is still the most secure sign of credibility in American politics.

Comey asked to turn over a copy of his memo, says he no longer has it, he deleted it from his computer.

If the contents of the meeting were so important that Comey felt he had to not only write them down, but transfer the government docs to a 3rd party to get to the press............. why wasn't it worth keeping an original copy?

I'm beginning to wonder if Trump does have tapes. I don't think Trump was taping Comey, but Trump was being evesdropped on. The FBI may have recorded the meeting with Trump, and the possession of those recordings are now in the possession of Jeff Sessions. When Comey was fired, all his records were handed over to Sessions.
