I did. I make a terrible rich person.

p.s. I still control the assets, but would pay massive penalties if I broke the Trusts. My kids will get the Exemption, no more.

So what charity paid for that epic vacation you just took? You know, since you gave it all away.

Dude, it cost less than your new car. I no longer have a car. We stayed in hostels & rode public buses along with the chickens.

Still, though, we seem to be on different pages about what "rich" is? A few million dollars after a lifetime ain't nothing. When I talk about wealth, I mean WEALTH.

p.s. I still have millions.

Wealth isn't going to be the thing that makes your existence worthwhile. In fact, I believe it could very well be the thing that ruins your existence.

Fight for what makes people's lives better and worthwhile. Fight for good education. Access to good health care if possible. Having a roof over their heads. Safe communities. Ability to get jobs and lead fruitful lives.

This income inequality stuff is poison.
Not sure why you guys always jump to 'confiscation of wealth'. Nobody here is calling for that, except Hash himself, with the Super Inheritance Tax. (I'm still on the fence with that).

We ARE talking about opportunity equality. The lower classes don't have the opportunity to reach the uppers - and before you tell me all about Bill Gates, that dude was upper class himself. He did not invent/steal the PC from the back of a trailer.
The fact is that no amount of work will EVER get you out of the bottom 50%, unless you were born there. It does not matter how much overtime you put in, or how much the boss likes you.

This was not always the case, and this is what "the Left" is getting pissed about. Since it affects more citizens of the Right than the Left, the Machine has been directed at brainwashing them into Freedumb - being thrilled for the 'opportunity' to be on the bottom. Who do you suppose is going to steal away your glamorous lifestyle in teh trailer park??

You're delusional.

You have more opportunity to reach the top than ever. Go invent something. Larry Page and Sergey Brin were just graduate students when the invented the pagerank algorithm for information retrieval. In the 90s, they had a little plucky subcontractor for big search engines that later became Google. They are rich as fuck right now.

How many people do you think have talent and intellect to do stuff like this? Seriously.

Millions, that's the problem: only the very, very lucky actually do because the winner takes all the spoils.
