It's not impossible that Obama didn't spy on Trump personally. Just his server for Trump Tower. You know, the campaign HQ. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I don't ascribe malicious intent to that. It's quite possible he felt like Russia was hacking due to what the IC (does have money trails to the CF, looking at you Comey's brother,) told him and since he made FISA warrants so fucking accessible he said "yeah let's look into it."

The only malicious intent I would ascribe to that would be of Obama passing any intel along somehow to sabotage Trump. Which may have happened one way or another.
