Yeah, I member.
Okee, the epitome of "temporarily embarrassed millionaire."

Either way it's a Marxist canard.

It's amazing what jingly shiny shit people flock to, like a school of crappie.

Is that ad hominem, or a compliment?

"Income inequality," "wealth inequality," any kind of "inequality" other than equal protection under the law is bumper-sticker sophomore year sloganeering. Meaningless hooey. People do seem to lap it up and beg for more though, so it has that going for it.

Not watching inside the paint didn't translate. What?

And I'm not a temporarily embarrassed millionaire. I asked you about this already. You said you came from a white trash background. I assume that means you didn't come from wealth, but now you have it. Did you sit around bitching and moaning about how unfair it was that you didn't have what others had? Was that your path to success, or did you actually work?

I guess I should thank my lucky stars that no one ever infected me with this poisonous ideology that just because someone else has something that I don't, that I am somehow the victim of some injustice. It's bullshit and does jack fucking shit to accomplish anything other than giving people an excuse to ignore the fact that their own station in life is the result of their actions. Once you start seeing the world that way, you're fucked.

@okie: @Hash is referencing 3 seconds in the lane. In basketball, an offensive player is not allowed to be in the prime real estate more than 3 seconds at a time.

i/o/w, if someone has too much money, the state should take it away from them.

Yep, it's not any deeper than that.

Ah, success is an offense. We can see how much he believes in this by the fact that he gave away all his money to remedy his offense.

Okie has a valid point, and it cuts to the heart of why I don't like the left, even if I agree with some of the stuff they want economically. It's based on envy and covetousness. I am happy Martin has wealth. I don't want to take it from him.

Wealth isn't going to be the thing that makes your existence worthwhile. In fact, I believe it could very well be the thing that ruins your existence.

Fight for what makes people's lives better and worthwhile. Fight for good education. Access to good health care if possible. Having a roof over their heads. Safe communities. Ability to get jobs and lead fruitful lives.

This income inequality stuff is poison.

Yeah and it ignores who really has wealth who really has the power.
