And conveniently forgot to tell it.Okeefenokee wrote: He got paid to be on tv.
And for some interesting reason, some people here fail to remember that Trump himself fired the guy... for "lying to the Vice-President". And of course, the investigation is ongoing.Mr. Flynn did not disclose in those documents payments totaling more than $45,000 that he received from the Russian government for giving a speech in Moscow in 2015, among others.
The development is the latest trouble for Mr. Flynn, who also did not disclose payments from Russian-linked entities on a financial disclosure form that the Trump administration released in late March. Earlier in March, Mr. Flynn filed papers acknowledging that he worked as a foreign agent last year representing the interests of the Turkish government, causing another uproar and more unfavorable headlines for the Trump administration.
Let's be honest here. People have absolute no objectivity on any issue that even remotely touches US politics thanks to their absolute hatred of the other political party. I think it's actually quite common that the judgement on any action done by someone is totally dependent on just which side that someone happens to be.heydaralon wrote:Lets be honest here:

And this is quite common on both sides. I noticed this when Obama became President: first there was total outrage against the unconstitutional and basically illegal tactics of the Bush administration on things like War on Terror and electronic eavesdropping. Then when Obama came President and continued the same policies and practices, there wasn't any outrage from exactly the same persons. Hence this is quite universal. Also then the Republicans and right wingers defended Bush and went on with the absurd lie that simply Bush had gotten bad intel... and because of it went to war with Iraq. Only know in the Trump era has that viewpoint suddenly changed.
The premiss here is that anything that the other political side even brings up or comments about is wrong, totally fake. Even to bring up any subject that one side has talked about, and Americans usually assume you to be on the side that is talking about it. Hence, if you bring up the budget deficit, you are a Republican, global warming, a Democrat and so on. Irrelevant on just what your point is.

Yeah, he got fired for not telling them he got paid to be on tv.ssu wrote:x
That you think that is anything other than ridiculous is nothing more than another shovel full on the flaming heap that is liberal horseshit.
Hey, you take any money from the Russian government?
No.
Hey, you got paid to be on tv.
And?
The Russians own that tv channel.
Oh, ok, then I guess every other American who has ever been on RT is also a Russian spy.
No, no, no. We're not gonna consider any reason here. You got paid to be on tv, and that makes you a Russian spy.
Fucking loons.

If it's fake, why would Trump fire him in the first place?
Heck, why does Trump throw everybody under the bus that is assumed to have connections with Russia?
And do you really think that Trump fired Comey because of how Comey treated Hillary? At least nobody seems to be supporting that whimsical line.
And btw, a retired general has to inform about taking money from foreign states.

If I'm the new boss, and the guy that works for me stepped on his dick over and over again under the old boss, I could fire him on day one, sure, but the old boss didn't fire him, so I could instead wait for him to predictably step on his dick again once I'm in charge, and fire him for that.ssu wrote:If it's fake, why would Trump fire him in the first place?

As far as Flynn, Trump didn't seem to see him as being so valuable that he had to carry him through a scandal. He might have been wrong, but I don't think I know enough to say so. It's not like the whitehouse has a shortage of potential skill applying for employment.

To whom? Does a former president have to inform on taking money from foreign states? Obama just did a five figure speech in Europe less than a week ago. Who does he have to inform that he took money from a foreign state?ssu wrote:And btw, a retired general has to inform about taking money from foreign states.

Comey was a key person in the Deep State, pals with the Gang of Eight, good buddies John Cuck McCain. That's what this was about. The Deep State hates Trump, so Trump removed one of their key pieces from the board.Okeefenokee wrote:

Servicemen especially of Flynn's rank require law requires to seek permissio from the secretary of state and the Department of Defense.Okeefenokee wrote:To whom?
Presidents on the other hand don't have to do much as they aren't required to follow similar rules as the ordinary government employees. Trump is an obvious case.
For example I think the President himself can make anything that is secret not be so. Hence if for example tells something that was earlier top secret, it isn't anymore by his own decision.
Yep. Truly shocking that a government department that has as it's mission to "Protect the United States against foreign intelligence operations and espionage" does it job it's required to do! Outrage!!!C-Mag wrote:Comey was a key person in the Deep State, pals with the Gang of Eight, good buddies John Cuck McCain. That's what this was about. Please someone continue with the line "But Hillary is corrupt!"
Well, the FBI mission statement isn't to "Protect the United States against lobbying operations done by Wall Street and rich people".

And the Flynn thing goes on...
First subpoenas that the committees have done, I guess.
Not seeming to go away, as Trump wants...
See Flynn documents sought by Senate panel in Russia probeThe Senate intelligence committee on Wednesday subpoenaed former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn for documents related to the panel’s investigation into Russia’s election meddling.
Sen. Richard Burr, the Republican chairman, and Sen. Mark Warner, the committee’s Democratic vice chairman, issued a joint statement saying the panel decided to issue the subpoena after Flynn, through his lawyer, declined to cooperate with an April 28 request to turn over the documents. Flynn and other associates of President Donald Trump have received similar requests from the committee for information and documents over the past few weeks.
Copies of request letters sent to longtime Trump associate Roger Stone and former Trump foreign policy adviser Carter Page were shared with The Associated Press. Those letters, which were nearly identical, sought emails, text messages, letters, phone records or any other relevant information they have about meetings or contacts that they or any other individual affiliated with the Trump campaign had with Russian officials or representatives of Russian business interests.

IF
CLINTON FOUNDATION, ever heard of it. That was nothing but organized crime. Where's the investigation into that if we are concerned about politicians taking foreign money? Hell we've got pretty good evidence that it was pay for play. If you want access to the Sec of State and next POTUS of the US, you pay the Clinton Foundation.
