You seem confused about the difference between a politician promising things they know they can't deliver, and calling something provably false true and vice versa. The "Big Lie" school of politics was more typical of authoritarian regimes until Trump. Most of the big lies in American history were Casus Belli from the Mexican War to Iraq, not about anything and everything the way the Russians do it.
Nostalgia For An America That Never Was. Trump's lies are not special, you're Demohack bias might lead you to opposite conclusion, but your perception is not reality.
