You are attacking a strawman again. I don't particularly want a welfare state. I'd rather stop the behavior that leads to this. Close the borders. Remove the illegals. Imprison employers who knowingly hire them. Get the government out of the usury business. Setup drug rehab for addicts instead of prison. Abolish the do-nothing government schools so parents can afford to send their kids to real schools. End the job offshoring treaties asap. Send every last visa worker back home. Reopen the mental health institutions to house the incompetent.

It’s not about sterilization, cleansing, or liquidating undesirables. It’s about maintaining strong mental health, positive incentives, and fair treatment leading to a healthy society.

You all assume that a homeless person who voluntarily chooses not to contribute back to society will choose death before service. That’s a pretty ridiculous assumption to make. Imagine for a second, that the capable homeless have the same survival instinct you do, and they don’t want to die. There’s no reason to believe such people faced with the choice of community contribution or figuring out how to survive on their own terms will choose death.

They’ll either figure out a way to feed and shelter themselves without our help, or find some small service they can do for others to survive. If they choose death by hubris, then as Dr. Hash says, most liberty to most people. Enjoy your freedom of choice.

Yeah, we should gas disabled veterans too. But I am sure you love dogs and have some great vegan recipes too.

A logical argument can be made for trimming the tail off the Bell Curve: for example, you could convince me right now to forcefully sterilize Huntington’s, Soylent Green the old, Final Solution people who will never get out of prison. There’s good cases to be made for these actions and more. Don’t stop at the “homeless.”
