I figured Rick Nash would be considering Toronto, he's not what the Avs need either, are we on the list? Hope not.Smitty-48 wrote:Reportedly the Leafs are one of the twelve teams on Rick Nash's list who he would agree to be traded to, not that I'm pining for Rick Nash, he's not what the Leafs need, but it's still weird for the Leafs to be a preferred destination, Team Matthews ftw.

As long as they all faced the same conditions, great. Nothing unfair about it.Montegriffo wrote:Seems unfair to have gone ahead with the womens snowboarding. Last thing the Avs need is Old Man Nash, it's good thing we probably won't trade for him, especially given the asking price, even if he wanted to come. Sakic gotten burned on that stove one too many times before, I hope.

It wasn't the same though, it was strong gusts not a constant wind but I meant not fair to train for 4 years then have conditions where you could not produce your best. It would have been a simple matter to postpone it like several other events have been.GrumpyCatFace wrote:As long as they all faced the same conditions, great. For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Nash is trash, the asking price for Nash is silly, like it's Rick Nash from 2008, his agent is no doubt trying to drum up interest with the teams on his list, but I wouldn't be surprised if none of those teams are interested at all.StCapps wrote:Last thing the Avs need is Old Man Nash, it's good thing we probably won't trade for him, especially given the asking price, even if he wanted to come. Any team which is good, and so Rick Nash would want to go there, doesn't have any room for a passenger like 2017 Rick Nash.
I'd say he's probably mooching around the Bruins and the Preds, but they would be fools to give up assets for tired ass Nash.

I'm with Babs, I just want some heavy players who can skate, kill penalties, take face offs, play physical, who wouldn't require giving up a lot of assets for, like I wouldn't mind if they got a Luke Glendening for example, he's one of Babcock's boys, I'm just looking to beef up the depth for grind it out playoff hockey, we got all the high end skill we need, what the Leafs need more of right now, is grit.

Also looking for another moneyball d-man like Hainsey, but I'm not sure who that would be, Hainsey has really worked out, he's been a steal for $3 million doing a $5 million dollar job.
If Hainsey plays with Mo, Mo plays better, if Hainsey plays with J-Gards, J-Gards plays better, so another Hainsey, one for each, that would be good.

Whether rental or free agent, I'm really just looking for moneyball players right now, don't want to give up anybody in the core, don't want to give any first rounders unless is it for a special player, Toews, Weber, somebody like that, otherwise, just stick to moneyball, Lou.
