Congress has never voted against the F-35 once in the history of the program, so why you think congress is not on side, it not clear. The Conservative wrote:Hopefully, you are right. That's the problem though, the hacks are also the ones with their hands on the strings of the purse... namely congress.
Once you crunch the numbers and look at the competition, the F-35 looks cheap in comparison, same price as the A-10 was in the 1970s, in constant dollars.

Most people in office are actually quite reasonable about it, some feel the need to grandstand and be hacks in the media, but most of them who hear from those hacks that the jet is expensive, end up having a meeting with someone like me, who explains constant dollars to them, and how the F-35 costs the same now, as the F-16 cost in 1976, and then they realize that people are just hacking to pander to the liberal media narrative, but in reality, the F-35 is half the price of the competition, for a jet which can do twice as much, and as a result it will corner the market. Then they end up supporting it.
To include President Trump apparently.

The whole hysterical liberal media narrative is based one thing; POGO.
And who is POGO? Mother Jones Magazine & Go.
It's far left wing peacenik propaganda, which has simply been picked up by the low information media, and from there to the low information internet.

A single-engine lawn dart, no matter how "advanced", is not going to corner any fucking market other than perhaps beating the F-16 record for most crashes.

Myth, twin engine jets do not have a better safety record than single engine jets, that's more propaganda, fighter jets do not have second engines for redundancy, the second engine is simply to add more thrust.

The most unforgivable act of greed was when these Lockmart faggots convinced (i.e. bribed) members of Congress to go along with spending all this money on F-35 for naval aviation.
Hello. McFly! A single engine aircraft in naval aviation is fucking stupid!

HA HA HA HA HA HA
Go back to your infantry stuff. The F-16 has the worst crash record of all the existing inventory. It's called the Lawn Dart for a reason.

Myth. The number of crashes of F-16's is related to the number of F-16's in the world compared to any other jet, it's the most numerous jet in service by far, 4500 air frames, but the lifetime attrition rate for F-16 is between 0.18% and 0.5% which is excellent and no worse than any twin engine jet.
Lawn Dart is a myth.
