Free food, free booze, and presents, I don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

My family doesnt drink, so its a little different in my neck of the woods. Im glad you had a good christmas smitty. Im not trying to ruin the holiday for everyone, but for the last ten years I have always gotten kind of depressed and stressed out this time of year. It has just gotten to me somehow.
It's really my wife's family, my family is scattered to the four winds, so if it wasn't for my wife, I prolly wouldn't have much of a Chritsmas at all, so I just appreciate what I have.

My nieces and nephews are all teenagers now, so until they have some kids of their own, we're in the Christmas sweet spot right now, no screeching brats, so it's all good.

I'm running around the hospital slapping ducktape on the situation again today.

Canada is so far along in the social experiment that I can honestly take a moment to appreciate the Doc here. Really takes some honesty

Someone told me you were a shrink. Do you work in a mental hospital?

Oh hell no, I'm the crazy uncle; best of all worlds, I hang out with my nephews, but then I send them back to their parents when I'm done with them.

My wife is the cool aunt, when my nieces are fighting with their mothers, they run to her for cover.

We got kids coming and going here, but when they get on our nerves, we just send them home.

Stare into the depths enough and it will begin to stare back at you and all. Doc is a product of the social experiment. He means well, but he's just running around slapping duct tape on things as it were.

Once you start losing your family to old age you appreciate those left a bit more. I even get on with my snobby sister these days.
Mum loves Christmas but her short term memory has gone so she can't really cope with all the cooking any more. Luckily I inherited her love of cooking so it was no chore to do the food for us.
Annoying or not, a family Christmas is better than one spent alone, even if you do have to watch terrible TV and go outside to smoke your spliffs.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
