From what I see and hear that is not happening as much. Drinking is down and free wheeling fucking is just a ticket for a male to get kicked out of school.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Just a shortcut way of referencing "party" culture and the bar scene.clubgop wrote:Beer commercials? Maybe in 80 and 90's now I dont see it. Not too many bikini babes running around in beer commercials. Unless you count Neil Patrick Harris, you're counting NPH aren't you?GrumpyCatFace wrote:
Everybody needs to chase the beer commercials, for at least a few years. That kind of programming is impossible to ignore.

As for the OP I have never been to Seattle but something about this story sounds so right on it rings of urban legend.

It's truly why we can't have nice things. I support freedom of association, but until that's the law, sorry coffee shop dude - you want to deny service, you'll have to set yourself up as a private club.
I really hope SCOTUS sides with the bakers, but if they do, this shit will get worse. Assholes gotta asshole.

He does not have to host their pro-life meeting any more than a Christian coffee shop owner has to host a pro-choice meeting.

Not true, ever since a baker was told they have to make a cake for a gay couple, that thought process was thrown out the door with the bath water, the baby, and the tub all at the same time.Speaker to Animals wrote:He does not have to host their pro-life meeting any more than a Christian coffee shop owner has to host a pro-choice meeting.

It's not finished. Of course the Marxist state court ruled that way. These state laws and local ordinances are manifestly unconstitutional. It's obviously eventually getting crushed in the US Supreme Court.
I doubt this coffee shop owner refuses services to Christians on account of their religion. He refused to host their meeting where they were discussing their abolition campaign, which he found morally repugnant.
It's the exact same circumstance as Christian bakers who do not wish to participate in a gay wedding. Those bakers did not refuse service to homosexuals; they simply did not want to participate in something they found immoral.

I believe in the case before the supreme court the baker said he'd sell a cake to homosexual couples, he simply wouldn't decorate it with homosexual themed decorations.
In which case the bakes isn't even saying he won't serve them, he's simply saying they can't force him to write stuff he doesn't agree with.

And this homosexual did not say he refuses to serve Christians. He said he refused to host their group meeting where they were coordinating their pro-life flyer campaign.

I mean.. just pick a group you find most morally repugnant. If you owned a business, is it okay to force you to assist them in their campaign or work that offends your conscience?
