I have been hearing both sides trying to spin either that he did or he didn't because of it not meeting the 100% definition of what obstruction of justice is and the other side saying that Trump is screwed. Although, it does sounds like Trump wanted Comey or at least Comey believing that Trump wanting Comey to drop the investigation and "let things go", etc...adwinistrator wrote:

And yet Comey demonstrably lied in his testimony today so maybe he lied about that too. All we have is his word about the man who fired him.Penner wrote:And yet Trump was the only president- out of the three presidents he served under- that he felt he couldn't trust to speak the truth. The Conservative wrote:Penner wrote:

Bubble girl trying so hard to spin this thing. Just look at the goalpost moving, nothing about Russia, nothing about collusion, nothing about hacking an election. It took so long for the usual suspects to respond to this not just to get their talking points in order but to recover from the cold hard reality they should've came to on November 9th, last year. That Hillary Clinton and Hillary Clinton alone lost the election.Fife wrote:I wish they could all be Wellesley girls.Penner wrote:And yet Trump was the only president- out of the three presidents he served under- that he felt he couldn't trust to speak the truth.

He was only a director under two. Obama and Trump. Let's keep that in mind he lied about a few things, such as not being pressured to keep the Clinton scandals under wraps. Sorry, he was a Democrat patsy.Penner wrote:And yet Trump was the only president- out of the three presidents he served under- that he felt he couldn't trust to speak the truth. The Conservative wrote:And if you listen to other people, and not the talking heads, it sounds like Comey perjured himself and had a double standard for Obama, Clinton vs Trump.Penner wrote:

He was appointed as the deputy director of the Attorney General in like 2007 or 2002- under W.

I've got questions whether Comey engineered the entire Special Counsel investigation. He said he wanted it, he said he leaked the Memo to get a Special Counsel Investigation. I wish someone would have dug into that and ask who he talked to about that, what role he might have held in going after the duly elected President of the United States

All said I think he tried his best but was put in difficult situations. I don't think he should ever have been appointed to the head of the FBI and he was flying under the radar until the shit hit the fan. Supposedly he is a man of integrity but from what I saw he just hid under his shell every time things got difficult. Lynch owned his ass. Honestly he should have prosected Clinton but he didn't want to make waves. His backbone is as curved as a sidewinder. All and all a waste if time and money. We didn't learn anything new. Just a drama queen passing the buck.
Oh and btw Congress and the Senate are worthless. Not sure what thread to put this in but honestly WTF do these assholes think is going on? Just fucking pathetic

Comey to me embodies the type of leadership we've allowed to fester too long in Washington. An appointed ass kisser, plays wishy-washy swaying too and fro, looking out for himself, not upholding his duty and tries to use the press to do what he lacks the courage say.
