Pandering only to his base now the election is over is not the way to run a country. Trump should be trying to unite a divided country and lead it forward.Xenophon wrote:I'm not sure Trump's base cares too much if he talks with a bunch of nanny state fops.Montegriffo wrote:John Bercow, speaker of the house has said there should be no invitation to Trump to speak to the house of commons during the planned visit to the UK. America first may well suit Trumps image at home but as president he needs to start acting like an international statesman as well.
Rushing into ill thought out executive orders, many of which will be challenged in the courts, makes the US start to look unstable and badly run from an outsiders perspective and will start to affect trade, investment and tourism in the long run.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

They're the second-biggest vassal state in the empire. We must maintain relations, lest they wander off.TheReal_ND wrote:Then why are you acting like such fops? Monte's right though, it's almost as if we were suddenly being run by a childish tyrant... hmm

It's not censorship. We should not publicly fund revolution and degeneracy. These are not legitimate academic programs. They are marxist ideology disguised as academia.
If universities want to indoctrinate youth, fine, just don't expect the tax payer to foot the bill for that garbage.

I agree that Universities in general are ideological cesspools, but I don't know what you expect from a bunch of people dependent on Federal money to fund they insane lifestyles.
No shit, know a prof at a State university who took a sabbatical, came back for a year and quit. She appealed the University's requirement to work at least two years after the sabbatical and won the appeal.
The problem with addressing Universities as I've mentioned before is the money the communities they serve reap as reward.
If I could do anything it would be to allocate funding according to major and offer grant rewards for completing your degree in a timely fashion.

I pretty much agree with you except laying the blame for division at Trump's feet is not remotely charitable. IMO to understand the division/lack of effort at unity, you need to realize the existence of the perception (not making a value judgment in this post) that the left used the machinery of the state to "wage war" on the right (bake the fucking cake, IRS v. Tea Party, etc.), and the right wants Trump to either destroy the machinery, or pull a maginot line and turn the guns back around on the left.Montegriffo wrote:Pandering only to his base now the election is over is not the way to run a country. Yep. This day has arrived because of the culture war waged upon us by the democratic party over the past eight years. Payback is a bitch. Fuck them.
And it's not like they can't possibly know any better. They took the side that tried to force nuns to pay for abortion pills and who beat women in the face with metal poles for wearing the wrong hat. I honestly don't see why we should compromise or really have any dealings with them.

Yep, that one person clearly represented the entire ideology of the Left. Just like this is obviously the view of the entire Right:and who beat women in the face with metal poles for wearing the wrong hat.
I mean, it's not like they could possibly be expected to spell in English..
Yeah, good luck with that.I honestly don't see why we should compromise or really have any dealings with them.

It wasn't one person, but hundreds, and it has happened in cities across the nation now. Furthermore, you yourself were just in here defending it by saying the people who were attacked deserved it for even showing up to the lecture.
So, yeah, it pretty well does represent you.
