... says the Martian whose political opinions are so outlandish and revolutionary that they directly mirror the Democrat party line 99.8% of the time. Thank god he chimed in with his unique take on things. We’re all wiser for it.

But probably not.nmoore63 wrote:The hysteria over Net Neutrality is really just too much.
Its not like we are putting their dog down, they can go ahead and elect a different guy in a few years and completely reverse this stuff....

SJW’s are afraid that Facebook and tumblr will start charging a dollar a month for access. Being a bunch of unemployed, capitalist hating, parental dependent, twerps they realize such a move would strip control of social media from their grasp.
SJWs hate losing net neutrality like hobos hate bars with cover charges.

Re: Net Neutrality
Somebody posted an interesting Mises.org piece in response to Dan's lo-info tweet, and it's pretty good stuff.
It makes several obvious economic points, but my favorite takeaway has to do with the fact that the internet is changing and growing in ways that the Soroses, Zuckerbergs, Bezoses of the world can't even begin to comprehend (because no one can). (Except for the obvious fact that they DO understand that they want to freeze the growth and r&d of the internet where it is right now -- since they are in command and want to keep it that way, forever.)

Economist Peter Boettke explains:
Mises [explained] how the static conditions of equilibrium only solved the problem of economic calculation by hypothesis, and that the real problem was one of calculation within the dynamic world of change, in which the lure of pure profit and the penalty of loss would serve a vital error detection and correction role in the economic process.
In the context of the issue at hand, this is particularly consequential. The market for internet service is brand new and growing and evolving quickly. To decide, in a market as young and dynamic as this, that current market prices are not fair reveals a great degree of confidence in mere “hypotheses,” as Boettke puts it, about what the ideal market for internet service should look like.

One of the speakers just said, "If you believe in our Democracy, you'll believe in a vote for an Open Internet." Seriously?

Disappointed that dan doesn't even acknowledge that some consumers might ever possibly not want net neutrality....Fife wrote:Some of the truly bestest and brightest are really pissed tho, man.

There was a halt in the meeting, it turned out there was a bomb threat. I saw the video of the dog sniffing around. The commissioner's cell phone was taken. Now it's back going forward again.
