Broccoli is a fine vegetable. It provides a legitimate use for Velveeta.

Fact is, peas are delicious. Especially with some baby lima beans and corn.

Beans are a pointless mush. They serve no purpose, other than to provide a medium for barbecue sauce.

Freshly picked peas straight from the pod > Broccoli by far. Canned peas, otoh, usually taste like gray, apathy and monotonous duties.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Broccoli is a fine vegetable. It provides a legitimate use for Velveeta.

I’ll cede that point. I grew some 2 years ago, under duress. Between you and me, they were tolerable.BjornP wrote:Freshly picked peas straight from the pod > Broccoli by far. From before the sentencing, but brings up the point that the law you find acceptable to use against someone you disagree with when "your side" is in power will be used against you when the other side gets power.

It's my firm belief that the Count Dankula sentencing was to establish a precedent that can now be used to go after any bothersome artist. Like the Muhammed cartoonists or Charlie Hebdo. Brittain has picked sides and is now firmly against free speech. Intent and context are irrelevant as is any thoughts of satire having a role in society. If anyone feels grossly offended you will get penalized. This will lead to self-censorship.
Free speech is a requirement for free thought. It saddens me to no end to see Brittain going down this dark path. I have always seen Brittain as an impenetrable defense tower against tyranny and oppression. This is one of the saddest days in the history of liberty. The rot has set in and I don't see any way to reverse its course.

SIFCLF much Hastur?
Do you somehow imagine Muslim hate preachers get a free pass?
Maybe you think that only the Jews are protected?
Perhaps you think it is ok for one part of society to stir up hatred against another?
Could be that you are hyperventilating over some dickhead getting fined for being grossly offensive?

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

What a bunch of weird non-sequiturs. Perhaps, maybe, you think, hyperventilating, grossly offensive.Montegriffo wrote:SIFCLF much Hastur?

Jon Donne finds your support of that animal killer/farmer grossly offensive. Worth 800 pounds and a court case?
