That seems to be the argument here. But you know PBS, NPR, the whole thing is a liberal hellscape when the Republicans who are supposed to be running the whole damn thing want to cut it, while the left who can't win an elective office to save their life still want state run programming.Fife wrote:If not for the state, where will we get the real news, and the high-brow stuff?

I don't watch those either, except for Anthony Bourdain, who's on CNN for some reason.clubgop wrote:The cable model is dying already so fine call the bluff. There would be about 6 channels in my lineup.
I don't follow. There's something wrong with the PBS lineup? Where do you get your Ken Burns docs, and Downton Abbey? They sold Sesame Street to HBO, but they also run the Sprout channel that my kids watch every day.Ok, back off GCF right now. Everybody leave him alone. Now, go take a look at a bunch of local PBS and public access stations tv schedules. Go look at Sunday morning programming. I dare you. There is your tax money. While we're at it, drop the fucking tax breaks for churches - indirect federal funding. I pay for them too.
Is the PBS News Hour a bastion of SJW insanity, or is that Charlie Rose? Perhaps you're referring to the fucking opera performances? Does Austin City Limits really program your kids to be Marxists?
You fucking toons are out of control.

+1 ClubGOP, you are right the traditional news model is dying anyway. That's an awesome argument for Trump. You should be on his staff.GrumpyCatFace wrote:I don't watch those either, except for Anthony Bourdain, who's on CNN for some reason.clubgop wrote:The cable model is dying already so fine call the bluff. Ken Burns is about the only real talent in the bunch. To celebrate the budget cut I'm going to have a few drinks tonight and finish Ken Burns series on Prohibition. I had NO idea Prohibition started in Maine in 1850 before Burns.

It used to be religious programming. We could ask you the same questions about your objections to government funding for religious programming. Its not somethimg government ,especially federal, should be doing.GrumpyCatFace wrote:I don't watch those either, except for Anthony Bourdain, who's on CNN for some reason.clubgop wrote:The cable model is dying already so fine call the bluff. You are out of control. The NEA is a loser, PBS is a loser yes it accounts for a penny out people's paychecks, but I can hit you with it anytime I want. It doesn't cost money. it cost votes, airtime, column inches. You know why people don't like liberals? Because they lose. If liberals are so fucking smart why do they lose so goddamned always?

You know it wouldn't work out that way Those 6 channels would be the popular ones and with the a la carte price you might as well buy one of the packages.GrumpyCatFace wrote:I don't watch those either, except for Anthony Bourdain, who's on CNN for some reason.clubgop wrote:The cable model is dying already so fine call the bluff. Looks like Comcast bought out PBSs ownership of Sprout in 2013. I wasn't aware of that. Congrats on whatever you think that's worth.clubgop wrote:No bitch wrong again sprout is owned by Comcast. Is Janet Yellen weighing in on Trump as POTUS?
The Fed has raised rates twice in 50+ days of Trump, only once under Obama.
Opinions ?

It was going to happen anyway, Obama said multiple times they were going to do it, and never did...C-Mag wrote:Is Janet Yellen weighing in on Trump as POTUS?
