The MSM, Davos and Biden Admin are going to do everything they can to distract from the very real impacts of inflation, devaluing currency and shortages. These are real problems that people have to face daily and it really impacts them. Social class, Jab status and party just melt away because everyone below the upper class will feel it personally. These are the things revolutions are made from.

I'm not predicting anything, anything but inflation will continue through 2022 and those in charge will try to keep it from becoming something they have to discuss in the public sphere. Po5 is exactly right, you can't just start a garden that will feed you for a year. But self sufficiency starts small.

We should do our best to hold our shitty leaders accountable and make them uneasy answering questions at least. I look back on 25 years of currency devaluation and how they dealt with problems.

Tech bust = Repeal of Glass Steagal
9/11 = W saying go shopping
Housing Crash = Stimulus and Bailouts
COVID = Money printing

We're going to pay for shitty leaders, do the best you can for you and your family.

I get what SF was saying: gardens are vanity projects, not a way to excuse a collapsing supply chain.
My original response to the "start a garden" part of that story asking about ice cram sandwiches was being sarcastic. Like we can all realistically just start gardens overnight and become self-sufficient with our food. What you credit SF for was more like my original sarcastic response than anything SF said.

His last comment was just plain stupid. You give him too much credit.
Good on both of you.

Garden, not farm. Gar-den.
Gardens are for flowers and statues. If you’re growing food, you are farming.
A garden produces food for private use, whereas a farm produces food (or flowers or fiber) for others. That's one difference.

Are you really that stupid?

Glad you're admitting it.

BP Prepares To Ration Gas At UK Service Stations Amid Supply Woes
https://www.zerohedge.com/commodities/b ... upply-woes

Last Thursday, BP's Head of UK Retail, Hanna Hofer, spoke with the Cabinet Office about the diminishing supplies and said BP had two-thirds of fuel stock levels required for normal operations. She expects fuel stocks to stabilize and began rebuilding in October, but there could be a few weeks of disruptions at the pump.

There's no shortage of fuel only the tanker drivers to deliver it to the outlets.
Prices are on the up though. Over $8 an Imperial gallon (or £1.40 a litre) today.
The Government has decided to issue more visas to EU drivers to help with the immediate problem and are making HGV tests easier (what could possibly go wrong) to try to encourage more people into the industry.
Wages are rising for HGV drivers too which is long over due.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Of course, human nature being what it is, the selfish panic buying has started ensuring that petrol stations are now running out of fuel.

Any actual evidence of ‘panic buying’, or is the government blaming people for the supply shortage?
