Cases and cases of MREs.

They must need more diversity.

The story of Puerto Rico's Power Grid, is the story of Puerto Rico
Last year Synapse Energy, a consultancy based in Massachusetts, carried out the first-ever audit of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) and found that the power lines were “cracking, corroding and collapsing”. The utility had been operating for decades without regulation or oversight. Imprudent spending was accelerating a decade-old debt crisis. “The results are grim,” the authors wrote. “PREPA’s system appears to be running on fumes.”
- system built as part of FDRs new deal
- sustained by US subsidies
- subsidies rolled back in '96
- PR Government wasted (spent) money on researching 'green energy' instead of updating their power grid
- 2014 Austerity measures caused long time employees to retire to secure their pensions

Puerto Rico has been keeping power to the island by subsidies, they cannot afford the grid they have.

We still have a fair amount of vegetation debris lying all over the streets. There are simply not enough dump trucks to get the job done. Our city got a "get the stuff cleaned up now" letter from the State of Florida, but we can't imagine trucks out of thin air.
Account abandoned.
