Just finished listening to it. It’s much more tied to current events/generations. Direct ties to everything going on, solid predictions.

It’s more like an expansion of the first book. Highly recommend.

I'm suspicious because I really haven't seen any original thought from Howe in all these years and I've come to the conclusion that Strauss was the real brain behind the original and Howe was just his research assistant.

It doesn't surprise me that he's just tying current events into the existing theory and not further developing the theory.

But I may listen.

Specifically, that the Turning is only halfway over, and peaks just before 2030. Total transformation of society, one way or the other.

Lots of predictions about how the different generations react to change. Xers set to become the stoic leaders through crisis. Millennials will be the artists/builders of the next great phase of society.

You may be right - it’s not earth-shattering, but it’s much more well researched than the first one.

I have a much higher opinion of Millennials than most. Millennials are very independent minded, but believe in climate change as a general rule. Interesting dichotomy.

This book was recently released for free, by a former hedge fund manager. He states that property law has been changed in the past few decades to allow seizure of ANY financed asset in the world, in the event of a market collapse. That means your house, car, anything with a loan on it, as well as any financial 'securities' held anywhere. The actual mechanism for the Great Reset.

Apparently, a big part of the Great Depression was that this ‘bank holiday’ meant that they shut down ALL banks to stop the runs. Then only reopened some ‘preferred’ banks. The rest were left closed and the depositors lost everything. But their mortgages were still due.

How we avoided a general uprising is beyond me.
