Basically, all the CDC's lying bit us in the ass. . .

. . . They basically invent huge influenza stats to scare people into getting vaccines each year, similar to how they lied about masks not being effective because they didn't want Americans buying them when they fucked up and forgot to stockpile them. The lying and the bad math really has to stop.
Always good to highlight those rare posts where folks can agree.
I think most of us could agree with this.

When will the flood of court cases start coming in of people getting arrested on Lockdown suggestions when there's no Constitutional authority for it? This needs to get in the courts as soon as possible.

I think once the TDS portion of COVID19 is removed, people are more rational with their conversations about it.

I don't even see how that's going to happen.
My non-lawyer understanding is that you need the government's permission to proceed with a case against the government.
If that's true, then the obvious play is for the government to simply disallow such suits to go forward.

... or maybe that's only if you're suing the government?

How can response to a virus split along Party lines? That doesn't sound like science.

Boy she is really going to set off a revolt.
Less than 1% of the country is even effected. What are you smoking?
If you managed to reach the end of that gif, you'll see that it was created/sponsored by the Michigan state government. I was referring to their functionally retarded governor as 'she'.

Do try to keep up.
Actually, that's only an assumption.
I assumed the gif maker had just tacked the Michigan state govt stamp on the end to enforce the stay at home message.
It seems like an unusual way for the authorities to spread the message, to say the least.
I doubt that's an official message.

I'm going to stop using the word "Coronavirus" since I don't even know what that means (besides shape)? What if I switch to "respiratory" viruses?

That's what the American right has done all along with the climate crisis. Ignoring the science has been their MO for quite a while now.

I believe Boomer Pox is the preferred nomenclature.
If you're a patriot tho, you can always call it the Chinese flu and we'll all know what you're talking about.

Probably never since any historian should be able to point out that we have been here and done this before, several times in American history. The men who wrote the Constitution saw quarantines in various cities for yellow fever and smallpox epidemics. We are essentially repeating the same shit we did in 1918 right now, including "opening up" to create a huge surge of deaths later this year.

The idea that the government has no authority to impose a quarantine is laughable. Just on the face of it is obviously false, both historically and legally.

Imposing a quarantine to slow the spread of a hugely deadly contagion is pretty much, by definition, why we have governments.
