The printing press changed the world because it fostered people's imaginations: they wanted to get the freedom to do all the things they were reading about.
The Internet changed the world because it invoked people's envy, resentment & sense of inadequacy, so they want less freedom.

No - I was talking about the internet affecting academics like the printing press affected the church - but Smitty responded with the 'Academy' collapsing - and it didn't make any sense to me.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 11:01 amIf you're responding to me: perversity, spite & passive-aggressiveness are the most insidious forces on Earth.
Not 100% up to date on what the 'Academy' is - but Academia, media , and government aren't collapsing, so ... /shrug.

Our Economy is now run by Blackrock.
The Fed contracted with Blackrock to run the stimilus funds associated with the pandemic.
Pandemic runs our lives, ergo Blackrock is in control of us.
