We cannot have an intelligent discussion about school shooting and leave the government actions to date and responsibilities out of the conversation. Having a gun free zone mean you put up a sign and expect that to work is silly. Knowing you have Cruz types identified and not doing anything about it is an abrogation of responsibility. Government failed at Parkland at every level, local school, local LEOs, Federal LEOs.
I don't see you as having an intelligent discussion, seems more like you are simply peddling a partisan political narrative in talking point format. /shrugs
All government responsibility has been left out of the discussion. Right now it's the Left saying, fix the problem by repealing the 2A. The Right says, more guns. You may not know because you don't have kids, but when you send your kids to school you are putting their safety in the hands of the staff at the school. It's an agreement. The government is failing their end of it, and we need to ask why.
How's your Easter going up their Smitts ?

Partisan political talking point narrative, plus "for the children!" rubric, double down.

Just a long weekend, I'm not one for the Magic Rabbi Resurrection Festival, I see it as metaphorical, the Obi-Wan Kenobi Jew, who knew? /shrugs

I don't see it as a purely political argument. It is also a legal argument. I'd like to see someone take the Parkland school to court for failing to protect people in the school. But we'll just have to disagree about it.

Obvious partisan political talking point narrative with "for the children!" hot button pressed is obvious.
You're the same as the gun grabbers, you're simply their mirror image.
You invoked "intelligent discussion", objectively however, a partisan tit for tat in an ideological cold war is not really that.

Carlus is right that the schools are facing no liability for any fucking thing that happens on their watch, but I don't care about seeking any cases against them. I just want the things closed.
They are over funded, hyper wasteful, under performing, completely unaccountable, lefty indoctrination factories.
Fuck a lawsuit. Shut them down.

I just want schools to have to defend themselves in a court of law.
If this was Walmart that was getting shot up all the time, people would look at Walmart and ask WTF they were doing.

And when they lose their suit, and have to pay out, who's on the hook for that bill?

Right. Taking the schools to court isn't gonna end with getting any money out of the schools. Any money awarded is coming from the tax payers.

The problem is that the government will always play these fucking games with the money to create fucked up incentives like they did in Broward. If you close the government schools, sure, you at least cut the Marxists off from their ability to propagandize children and sabotage the future of our nation, but the government will still reward private schools with more money for doing fucked up shit like not turning in kids who commit crimes, for example.
