Jealous of the US right now, we still have to deal with far more entrenched subsidized propaganda in the form of the CBC and there are too few politicians willing to cut them off, it sucks.Speaker to Animals wrote:Like all the other options, it's pretty fucking horrible. It just comports to your politics is all. We should not be subsidizing propaganda.

Hey I'm not giving them blanket approval. But there's nowhere else to find literary jokes, real culture, and actual interviews with people. It's not sound byte MTV style news, and that's a valuable thing. The Conservative wrote:They have a circle jerk and you call is intelligent discourse? Seriously? Besides, we're talking about the entire National Endowment for the Arts, not just NPR. That's a huge thing. It supports thousands of orchestras, museums, and plays throughout the country. Without that, you can expect to get ONLY what the rich approve of. Want to see what that looks like?

Re: Trump's Economic Plan
I have some trouble with Trumps Budget in terms of the military spending. The Military is as wasteful in spending as any agency. I saw what unrestrained spending during GWOT did. We literally had Officers at HQ elements bringing on additional staff to help with the added work, then that subordinate would bring on another and so forth. Until you have an 0-6 COL holding a slot and a half-dozen 0-5 LTC's doing his job. And it went on for years. I wasn't happy with everything BHO did in regards to the military, but shutting down GWOT open funding was a good thing.

Again, you don't want to see what media looks like when it's only funded by the rich, and subject to their whims.clubgop wrote:Well then all the rich liberals can fund it and forgo the virtue signaling tote bag.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Not really, but it's the only thing approaching intelligent discourse in modern media.Speaker to Animals wrote:LMFAO
