So, is freedom of speech and alt right thing now?

Seems like this case, and how most of the media won't dare to speak out against the blatant disregard of free speech, will just make the alt right grow.

Can't joke about anything that will make certain groups deemed qualified for protection by the state, feel bad. But those shitty daily shows will still try to pass of their comedy as journalism when it suits them, and comedy if their journalism gets critiqued.

This is the inconsistency I hate about the people attacking free speech at the moment. If John Oliver does a segment, where he's trying to inform people, he's doing the job of a journalist, while using the "comedy" argument as a crutch when he's not following the proper rules of journalism. It's either comedy, or it's journalism. Can't be both at the same time. Yet I always meet people that base their knowledge on political events on comedy shows. Same rings true for that Steven Crowder guy. Seems like most of it is propaganda today, both on the left and the right. People want to be entertained while they're getting "informed", but they're not truly getting informed. They're getting told the assumptions they already have, in an entertaining manner, so they can feel good about being part of the "good guys".
