Thursday night game should be interesting:

I hope they scan the entire crowd. I'm really not sure how many will join them in linking arms as opposed to placing their hand on heart during the anthem.
The message has already been lost. So now this is all about unity, huh? Unity is everyone standing and facing the flag during the anthem. we don't need some new show of unity, you image-conscious, brand-protecting, cover-your-asses quarterback. Now they are all trying to find some way to appease all sides while not committing to any. They all want to protect their own brands at this point.
I don't care how many media types and sports talk ex-players try and spin this. The general public isn't buying it. We all know that anything other than standing and facing the flag is a sign of disrespect. We have all told you this. You can't sit, stand, hide, or whatever else and claim it's not being disrespectful. You don't get to make that the reality.
If you want to help race relations, then stop being as divisive as Trump. Do something positive. Kneeling just makes you look subservient. Locking arms doesn't fix sh*t. The anthem is not the time to protest. We are not against you on the issues, we are against your method of protest. I was so happy last night to see every single person in attendance stand and honor the flag during our anthem prior to a high school sporting event I was at. Most even sang long, louder than usual (likely in response to the latest kneeling trend).
Sorry for the continual rants, but every time I hear about a new entertainer coming out with anything other than "we should stand and honor the anthem" I get fired up again.
