Not the same thing. Apples and Oranges. Yelling fire in a movie theatre is far more likely to cause harm to others than media talking smack about Trump, you are just being a baby about biased reporting, which has never not been a thing. Biased reporting isn't illegal in America and it never should be, if that were the case there would be no free press. The Conservative wrote:You may as well allow someone to yell fire in the theater then.
Unbiased reporting is a myth you repeat to yourself because it makes you feel better, it has zero to do with reality, it's media virtue signaling and inflating their sense of importance, it's just a story. Being unbiased is impossible, journalists pretending they are superhuman and can deliver unbiased reporting, does not change reality that they can't help but be biased, no matter how hard they squeeze their butt cheeks together in an attempt to make you buy that they really are these paragons of virtue that they claim to be.

I see what you're saying and I agree with the severe lack of critical thinking skills in our population but you're willing to sacrifice the First Amendment and I'm not. Maybe you should attempt some critical thinking yourself because torching the First Amendment...... .......I'll let you think about it.The Conservative wrote:When our educational system rears morons and idiots because our parents at home can't or won't take their time to help educate their children in critical thinking skills, you are asking for a lot to happen, which won't as long as things keep happening like they do today.SilverEagle wrote:I see. If we are going to hold them all to accountability and make it illegal to print lies I might be on board, otherwise you are just showing symptoms of butthurt and a yoghurt enema might be all you need....

Ok then, now how do we do this without the suspension of the free press and state censorship? There are already laws in place to stop incitement to violence even in the ''free world of America''. Whenever I tried to support UK rules about incitement to hate I got a lot of ''thin edge of the wedge'' arguments thrown back in my face. I still don't think ''we can't do that because it might lead to this'' is a valid argument but I never supported a crime of biased reporting law like you seem to be doing. The Conservative wrote:All.Montegriffo wrote:Out of curiosity, is that all the media or just the left wing media? For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

yelling fire in a theater is bad example to use. it was literally invented to jail people for speaking against the government. The Conservative wrote:You may as well allow someone to yell fire in the theater then.StCapps wrote:He's saying it's not illegal for the media to do so, it's protected free speech, whether you like what they have to say or not, just fyi, Captain Pearl Clutcher. The Conservative wrote:So are you saying that we should not force the media to take credit for 24/7 coverage of something, that may put an idea into someone's head to attempt the same thing? fixing the media, or forcing them to be better is the last thing in the world I want to see happen. I want them to keep it up and even double down again on their insanity. One way or another, this needs to reach a conclusion. The more ridiculous the lefts wants to get, the sooner we'll be done with them.
