I definitely don't like democracy one bit, and I am rather certain that most people don't trust it at all. That's why I would like to see them just explicitly admit this is a shit deal instead of perpetuate the myths.

The problem with the idea of democracy being a peaceful transfer of power is that it only works when the people who are allowed to vote are arguably shooters (or could/would be) in case of civil war. Giving women the vote meant fuck all sense when you think about the underlying predication of democracy, since women by and large do not serve in war (or risk their lives at anything in significant numbers) and they don't even as a group pay more taxes than they receive.

When the founders of these United States of America limited the vote to white men with property, they were saying you have to be in the militia and you have to pay taxes. Lefties make it about racism and economic injustice, but it's really the other way around. Economic injustice was giving the vote to people who don't pay for any of this shit, either financially or with their own blood.
