Re: SARS Pt. 2 - Wuhan Boogaloo
Based on the number of cases and the fatalities I looked up a few days ago, the fatality rate is just over 4%, not 2% as being reported. It is likely the the communist government is suppressing the true numbers, but it's likely at most maybe 5-7% fatality rate.
Comparing it to SARS is not helpful because the WHO managed to contain SARS before it really took hold. This new coronavirus is much, much more contagious and difficult to detect before it is already infecting a lot of people.
It works a little like an immune suppressing disease such as HIV.
It could be pretty bad, but not like the Spanish Flu bad.
If the Chinese are suppressing the total number of infected, then the fatality rate drops quite a lot. So it's not necessarily worse if they are low-balling how many people were infected. What would be bad is if they are low-balling the fatalities, but that might be a little difficult.

Don't be old, male or have a pre-existing condition.

So far, 80 per cent of those who have died have been aged over 60 and 75 per cent of them have had pre-existing conditions including high blood pressure, diabetes, and coronary heart diseases.
Most deaths have occurred owing to pneumonia which has in some cases led to organ dysfunction, septic shock and cardiac arrest. Two thirds of all of those who have died have been men.
Of the now more than 20,000 cases, 97 per cent of them have been in Hubei Province.
The death rate for the whole of China is 2.1 per cent which compares to an average of 11 per cent for the SARS outbreak of 2002 to 2003.
But in Wuhan, the death rate is 4.9 per cent, the virus does appear to be most virulent at the epicentre.

I doubt the WHO will contain this one. Some of us are going to get this, most likely. On the glass half full side of things, maybe we can use it as an effective cut, and lose about 15 lbs of fat.

Plague in the 14th century led to a loss of manpower so great that serfdom all but ended and workers gained rights of movement and increased value.

More importantly, don’t trust Chinese government numbers. There is a LOT of evidence that it’s worse than reported.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 10:30 amDon't be old, male or have a pre-existing condition.https://www.itv.com/news/2020-02-05/dea ... es-to-490/

Circumstantial, I suppose, but there are a number of twitter videos of pleas for help from medical personnel, overloaded hospitals, and mass graves.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 10:56 amEvidence or speculation?SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 10:55 amMore importantly, don’t trust Chinese government numbers. Also, given that the Chinese government is well known for lying about anything they can, and censorship, it’s pretty much a given.
As for the HIV connection, western scientists have identified 4 sections of the virus’ code that appear to be spliced directly from HIV. The two viruses are from different biological families, so a random mutation is all but impossible. This definitely looks like a bio weapon.
If ‘survivors’ start dropping dead, we’ll know for sure.

If they wanted to minimize perception of the risk, then they would actually pad the number for the infected cases detected. Minimizing the number of infected, while it may provide cover for their incompetency in getting a handle on this thing early on, would only make the virus seem more deadly than it should be considered given the higher rates of infection.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 10:55 amMore importantly, don’t trust Chinese government numbers. I would definitely be concerned if it comes out that they are rapidly cremating bodies to cover up the fatality rate.
Not that it matters. This is likely going to reach us. Americans wanted open borders and multicultural enrichment. Enjoy!

The one thing the conspiracy theorists have going for them is this:
Governments really freaked out early on. We found out about this outbreak and the federal government was shutting down flights from that region with a few days. The government officials in China are not acting like this is under control either. They seem pretty spooked.
One thing we all should consider here is that this globohomo clown empire is run on global trade and commerce. The people in charge derive all their power from open borders and the free flow of humans and goods. They didn't even give a shit when ebola started breaking out, making the importation of ebola a virtue signalling exercise. They are quarantining people now coming home from China and they are NOT allowing flights from there. It's not just America. The world is about to start locking down entire regions of the globe if needs be.
Something clearly has them spooked where even ebola didn't faze them.
I think we should be ready for a pandemic in a month or two. Just be prepared to shut yourselves in for a month. Have enough potable water on hand and enough freeze-dried food to carry you through. I am not saying woo woo here, just being cautiously realistic. If the PRC is burning bodies to cover up the fatality rate, and given the virulence of this thing, I wouldn't put much faith in the CDC from keeping that virus out of the general population.
