Likud would negotiate with Fatah, if they thought Fatah was actually in charge and so could deliver on anything, but I don't see why Likud should bother talking to Hamas, and neither does Likud.ssu wrote:Oh, they are all surely Zionists (even if there are post-Zionists too, even if the term is usually used as a derogatory term by the right-wing Zionists). And anyway, why wouldn't Israelis be for the existence of the modern state of Israel?Smitty-48 wrote:Even the most lefty wefty Israelis are Zion First, and the Neocons are actually way too lefty wefty for the Israeli right, the Israeli right is the Original Alt-Right.ssu wrote:Neocons are of course greatest friends of right-wing Israelis. Not so with leftist or centrist Israel.
The Israeli right has moved well to the right of the American Neoconservative center, the Israeli left are basically just Democrat party flavoured Neocons for all intents and purposes, essentially Clintonistas, Labor, Hatnuah, Yesh Atid, and Kulanu, that's basically the Israeli proxy for the Democrat party, broken into four factions, if you look at their platforms, it's all the same shit the Democrats peddle, ain't no hardcore lefties, basically the same urbane bourgeois panty waists, except with universal conscription.
But in truth there are differences. Revisionist Zionism which Bibi Netanyahu's party is about is different from Liberal Zionism and especially Labor Zionism, which is for restarting talks with the Palestinians.
It's not that Likud is opposed to making deals, it's just that lefties believe in negotiation simply for its own sake, and righties don't.
Neocons however, are not opposed to phony baloney deals for political expediency, Neocons will sell you down the river, which again, is another reason they are not necessarily the best friends of Likud. If you don't live in Israel, skin in the game, you can never truly be trusted, Israel has no friends, only interests, some countries can afford the "friends" delusion, not Israel tho.
