That's about what I figured. You'll be hearing from your broker shortly.
More like you'll be inciting a backlash shortly, followed by the proverbial lammposts and rope, but whatevs, come at us, bro.
If you think the masses are going to side with you bolshies, knock yourself out, it's your political funeral.

You're looking at final net profits, not markup at the register, which is what the OP refers to.
They can mark it up to whatever the market can bear as far as I am concerned, if you have to have an iPhone, that's what it costs, I'm not in anyway poor, and I own AAPL, but I do not own an iPhone, because I'm cheap, er I mean, frugal.
The problem, of course, is the barrier to entry. This is what happens when you have a state-sponsored monopoly.
The price of iPhones, cheeseburgers, bread, and cars will continue to rise every year, despite cheaper technologies, and more efficient manufacturing, hidden behind clever price-shifting and financing deals. It hath been written in teh Holy Book of Crony Capitalism.
You think anyone would have paid $700 for a fucking iPhone, when the carriers were subsidizing the cost? I paid $100 for mine. Now, I can sign up for low, low payments every month over the next 20 years, for the same product.
Just went to McDonalds for lunch, noticed that my meal was more than the menu price. Looked at the receipt, and apparently a "meal" now consists of the burger and fries. You pay for the sugar water that comes with it.
Where's that money going? Oh right, your fucking dividends.
If it takes you 20 years to pay for a phone, you need to excuse yourself from this conversation.

If you cant scrape together an extra $700 in this economy, it's no wonder you're a wannabe commie, cause anybody who cant do that, is basically a ward of the state already.

Can you point out some specific text and/or chart within that document that shows profits were 20% (when? 1950? 1980?) and are now closer to 70%?
It will take longer to read that entire document, but skimming through it I noticed the use of "markup" quite a bit. Don't confuse markup with profit.

I'm very familiar with the perpetual backlash against my views. It's as amusing as it is predictable.
Yet, I see no reason to keep silent about the incoming asteroid. Only costs me a few moments of typing, after all.

If you can make it all the way to the second sentence of the article, you'll see it.

Yes I am, not only are our economies highly integrated, but it's not like the equity, fixed income, and real estate markets in the USA are not at my disposal, American fees and taxes notwithstanding.
Heck, I even get King Dollah's pork in my district, by way of trickle down, trickle down works for me, sho nuff.
