Trumps is against illegal immigration, and that's evil!
Been the narrative for two years. You come in two years later and say the same thing, while being too chickenshit to say it while you were running, no, you don't get credit for it. The person you beat was saying it, but you didn't until after you won. You're a follower. Nothing more. A leader would have had the guts to say it in the general.
Threaten to leave the EU if immigration reform isn't adopted? Again, when did you say that? After you won? Okay, get in line. You're a follower. So get to followin'.
From before the French election:

But despite this, Mr Macron has addressed plans to strengthen the borders with an additional 5,000 guards and people denied entry would not be allowed to linger within the borders any more.
You fantasizing that Macron would have defended, or even danced around on the issue of, illegal immigration and given the impression to some center-left-leaning voter that he'd accept illegal immigration is ridiculously out of touch with reality. You're expecting the French to be American, that "the left defends illegal immigration" is somehow a
universal truth. Yeaaaah...
nope. Look up "Polish plumber French election". They even dislike legal, EU-immigration and have done so for a long time before Trump. With regards to immigration, Europe is and will always have a hundred times stricter, tougher and less permissable attitudes toward immigration, let alone
illegal immigration, than the US. No matter who your president is.
Illegal immigration is only a serious political issue in the US, because you have a
culture that accepts it.
Accepts, not simply tolerates. Expecting a culture of acceptance for
illegal immigration on anything approaching American levels, in
any European country, is laughable.
So... "Macron says no to illegal immigration!". Yeah, I get from a US POV, that may be totally radical.... but from anywhere else's perspective, it's more like, "Duh, what the hell else would he be?"
"Threaten to leave the EU if immigration isn't adopted"? Seriously. What. The. Fuck are you talking about, Okee? You guys think he's talking about
immigration reform?

But an adviser said Mr Macron, who will take office on Sunday, also wanted the EU to address the Euroscepticism and working-class anger towards globalisation that powered Ms Le Pen to the final round of the French presidential election.
“He has embraced a resolutely pro-EU stance during the campaign but this doesn’t mean he wants to defend the status quo,” the official said. “If the Europhiles don’t change the EU themselves, they will no longer be trusted.”

Mr Macron had suggested that the bloc needs its own finance and parliamentary ministers and a separate budget.
Those are the sorts of reforms Macron wants the EU to implement. Got fuck all to do with immigration. Seriously, do a
little background digging.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.
