Re: 2020 Election Predictions
Current seats up for grabs favor the Republicans as it'll mostly be Democratic ones under fire. Since Midterms favor Republicans anyway due to most voters who care to vote in them leaning conservative, I feel the conservative majority strengthening then is a safe bet.
As for 2020 itself... well, the big wildcard remains The Economy, Stupid. Right now we're still riding a boom peak (maybe not you, Joe Sixpack, but Wall Street and Silicon Valley are currently in a mania, which is apparently the only part of the US economy that matters anymore), but there are signs are contraction on the horizon. Since we never really solved the underlying issues of the last recession, and the fed is out of tricks to ease the pain, it's gonna be real, real bad.
So, if the Administration manages to keep the house of cards propped up for another three years? I'm gonna guess reelection. If not... that's fucking Here Be Dragons territory, holy shit.

Maybe this SJW thing is just the result of the decline in circus attendance.

Maybe its the cause... Who needs to pay to see a circus freak show when you can just walk down Main street and see it free?Speaker to Animals wrote:Maybe this SJW thing is just the result of the decline in circus attendance.

They eat their own,
Bye bye, Bernie: He’s not fit to captain the Democratic ship if he can’t stop chasing the great white male
To the extent that Democrats are looking for their progressive soul, Sen. Bernie Sanders is not where they should be fixing their gaze. Sanders is clear that he is not a Democrat — except when he needs to be one in order to run for president. Yet he is demanding that the Democratic Party head for what Rebecca Traister last week called “third-way centrist bullshit.”

Identity politics is a dead end. At least we'll see the death of a party in our lifetimes

Poor Bernie. He's a fucking dinosaur too. I hope the guy doesn't dwell too much on the fact that he's a pathetic embarrassment.

I try not to dump on the guy but "pathetic embarrassment" would be my description too.heydaralon wrote:Poor Bernie. He's a fucking dinosaur too. I hope the guy doesn't dwell too much on the fact that he's a pathetic embarrassment.

I think he did exactly what he was paid to do, and now he's living it up.
